Roy Heather Life

Roy Heather (1935-2017) was an English television actor best known for his role as cafe owner Sid in the sitcom Only Fools and Horses, a British television actor.

He worked with an asbestos company before joining the Royal Air Force in National Service.

He went on to work as a Betterware household goods salesman before starting his passion for amateur acting.

At the age of 44, David Tudor, who gave him his first professional work in repertory theatre, was spotted.

He appeared in several key roles, including Frank in Winter Journey and Reg in The Norman Conquests, and Ingrid Pitt co-starred in the world premiere of Aurelia.

After Agincourt, he debuted the role of Pistol in Peter Mottley's stage monologue After Agincourt. Heather appeared in a number of British television shows, most often in small roles, including Edge of Shadow, Poirot, Reginald Perrin's Legacy, Birds of a Feather, Hi-De-Hi, The Bill, and an episode of BBC sitcom My Family.

In the Al Murray/Richard Herring program Time Gentlemen Please, he appeared as a nameless old man.
