Reviewers were critical of Huntington-Whiteley's acting, as well as co-star Shia LaBeouf. The two "couldn't be duller," Peter Travers (of Wenner Media) said. "We're first introduced to Rosie via a close-up of her bum," Jason Solomons of The Observer noted, "renders her essentially unintelligible when confronted by American accents and plummeting masonry." "She reminds me of Cameron Diaz in The Mask," an actress who doesn't really show off any of his talents, but who does a good job and is up for the challenge of this particular picture," Drew McWeeny of HitFix wrote.
