Career

She undertook work experience at London West End-based model company Profile before beginning her GCSEs. Signed after leaving school in Summer 2003, age 16, her first modeling session was for a Levi's jeans commercial. When she travelled to New York City with Teen Vogue in January 2004, she got her first big break. She made her catwalk debut with Naomi Campbell in New York City in Spring 2004, and was photographed by Bruce Weber for Abercrombie & Fitch.

She debuted at The brand's Fashion Show in Los Angeles in early 2006, where she was signed to American lingerie company Victoria's Secret.

Huntington-Whiteley remained unknown outside of the fashion industry until 2008, when Christopher Bailey, chief creative director Christopher Bailey, was cast as Agyness Deyn, replacing Agyness Deyn for Burberry's Autumn/Winter campaign with actor Sam Riley. In a feature honoring British models, she got her first British Vogue coverage on the November 2008 issue alongside Eden Clark and Jourdan Dunn. She was featured in Karen Millen's Spring/Summer 2009 advertising campaign the next year. She appeared in a short film for Agent Prosecu's lingerie, portraying a woman whose boyfriend forgoes Valentine's Day.

She participated in campaigns for Godiva and Miss Sixty in Fall/Winter 2009. Huntington-Whiteley officially became a Victoria's Secret Angel in February 2010 in New York City and appeared in the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Exhibition. She said the following year that she would not walk the runway again, and has since said she left Victoria's Secret to pursue other interests as she was "well aware of the short shelf life a model has."

She posed nude for the Pirelli Calendar in 2010, which was photographed by Terry Richardson. Prada's runway in Milan and Giles Deacon in Paris, Huntington-Whiteley reached the runway for designers Prada. Monsoon's first underwear collection, Thomas Wylde, Full Circle, and VS Online were among her ad campaigns for SS10's first underwear collection, VS Online. She collaborated with VOGUE.COM in March to blog her outfit picks for the Today I'm Wearing feature. She appeared on Harper's Bazaar Russia and GQ UK covers in May 2010. Styled as a pinup girl on the front page of LOVE Magazine's September issue. She modelled for Burberry and also the company's first beauty collection for FW10; her other public relations included Thomas Wylde and Leon Max.

Ten Times Rosie, a fashion photographer, devoted a book entirely to her. Huntington-Whiteley's opined opinion of modeling: "We've been looking at very thin, almost masculine girls for a long time." Rankin said. [Rosie] is the current model. She's the best actress of the moment. She's sure to be a lot bigger." Ruby Hammer, a celebrity make-up artist who has worked with Huntington-Whiteley for years, has described her as the "intessential" English rose.

Huntington-Whiteley won her first solo British Vogue cover in March 2011 and appeared on Elle and GQ's July pages. In July 2011, she was introduced as the face of Burberry's new fragrance, Burberry Body. In the Marks & Spencer Christmas film, Huntington-Whiteley performed alongside Helena Bonham Carter and David Gandy. She was also announced as the face of Australian cosmetics company ModelCo. PAIGE revealed Huntington-Whiteley as their ambassador for the forthcoming spring 2015 ad campaign. PAIGE's first ever design collaboration with Huntington-Whiteley on a 17 piece capsule collection for Spring called Rosie HW x PAIGE. This was followed by a 20-piece fall collection.

She began "Rose Inc" shortly after the birth of her first child. The website launched as a beauty publication that worked in synch with its Instagram and YouTube pages. The brand expanded to sell its own clean makeup and skincare products in August 2021.

She has walked the runways for Givenchy, Burberry, Oscar de La Renta, Valentino, Michael Kors, Roberto Cavalli, Balmain, Louis Vuitton, Badgley Mischka, Vera Wang, Vivienne Tam, Vera Wang, Benjamin Ferretti, Prada, Giles Deacon, and Moschino.

Huntington-Whiteley would be the new female lead in Transformers: Dark of the Moon, replacing Megan Fox, in May 2010. She had previously worked on a Victoria's Secret film with film's producer, Michael Bay. NextMovie.com's MTV Networks' NextMovie.com named her one of the 2011 "Breakout Stars to Watch" on MTV Networks. She received the "Female Star of Tomorrow" award at the 2011 CinemaCon Awards prior to the film's premiere.

Reviewers were critical of Huntington-Whiteley's acting, as well as co-star Shia LaBeouf. The two "couldn't be duller," Peter Travers (of Wenner Media) said. "We're first introduced to Rosie via a close-up of her bum," Jason Solomons of The Observer noted, "renders her essentially unintelligible when confronted by American accents and plummeting masonry." In an unfavorable light to Megan Fox, much of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's critique compared her to Megan Fox. Lou Lumenick said that her "acting" makes Megan Fox look like Meryl Stiep in comparison. "She reminds me of Cameron Diaz in The Mask," an actress who doesn't really show off any of his talents, but who does a good job and is up for the challenge of this particular picture," Drew McWeeny of HitFix wrote.

Huntington-Whiteley appeared in Mad Max: Fury Road, which was released in May 2015. She starred in The Splendid Angharad, one of the Five Wives of Immortan Joe's warlord Immortan Joe. She wore a prosthetic abdomen throughout the film in order to depict her pregnant woman.
