Roman Dirge Career

Career

He quit art and became a full-time magician after being told by his art teachers that he would never make it as an artist due to his crude style. His passion for art overtook him, and he created Lenore, the Cute Dead Girl for Xenophobe magazine. Dan Vado, president of Slave Labor Graphics, saw the comic strips later.

Dirge has written books including "Something At The Window Is Scratching," The Monster In My Tummy, The Cat With A Big Head, and One Other Story That Isn't As Good. He has over 75 tattoos.

Dirge and his then-girlfriend were injured in a hit-and-run crash in Hollywood, California, on February 26, 2013. Even after a long recovery, one of Dirge's legs was severely wounded and had to be rebuilt with a metal rod, but the guy was still in good spirits.
