Joseph Armand Roch Voisine, (born 26 March 1963), is a Canadian singer-songwriter, actor, and television and television presenter who lives in Montreal, Quebec, and Paris, France.

Personal life
Roch Voisine was born in Edmundston, Canada, to Réal Voisine, the former mayor of Notre Dame-du-Lac, Quebec, and a former English lecturer, and Zélande Robichaud, a former nurse. He grew up in Saint-Basile, New Brunswick. He was the oldest of three children. Marc was born in 1965 and his sister, Janice, was born in 1966.
When Roch was four years old, Voisine's parents divorced and he went to live with his paternal grandparents, Maurille and Dorina Voisine, until he was eight years old. And as an adult, Roch considered his grandparents very influential on him. When he was 12, Roch moved to Notre Dame-du-Lac.

Career
He made his music debut in 1986 when he performed on Canada Day (1 July) in front of 50,000 viewers at a la Ronde amusement park in Montreal. He also appeared on Top Jeunesse on the TQS (Télévision Quatre-Saisons) private French Quebec channel. Dany Ross appeared in the CBC television series Lance et Compte (1989) (He Shoots, He Scores).
Voisine's musical breakthrough came with his 1989 album Hélène, which sold three million copies and became a big success in Quebec but also in France, Belgium, and Switzerland. In 1990, Hélène was named the Best Album at the Victoires de la Musique. He capitalized on his huge success by releasing a bilingual French/English album Double on an all-French CD, and the other all-English songs were attempting to establish himself in both francophone and anglophone markets.
After a long-running European Tour in 1991, he was named Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in France, becoming the youngest artist to receive it at age 28. On April 17, 1992, his second European tour came to a conclusion when he appeared in front of 75,000 people in Paris. The show was televised live on TF1 and attracted 14 million viewers.
Voisine had his best English-language hit to date in 1993, with the single and album I'll Always Be There, which he coproduced with David Foster.
