Robyn Life

Robin Miriam Carlsson (born 12 June 1979), also known as Robyn, is a Swedish singer, songwriter, record producer, and DJ.

Robyn Is Here, her debut album in 1995, has two US Billboard Hot 100 top-10 hits: "Do You Know (What It Takes)" and "Show Me Love."

My Truth (1999) and Don't Stop the Music (2004), her second and third albums, were released in Sweden.

Robyn's fourth album, Robyn (2005), received critical praise and a Grammy Award nomination, and she returned to international prominence.

The album spawned the singles "Be Mine!"

"With Every Heartbeat" is the UK's number one, and the United Kingdom's number one "With Every Heartbeat."

In 2010, Robyn released a trilogy of mini-albums dubbed the Body Talk series.

They received widespread critical praise, three Grammy Award nominations, and three top-ten hits including "Dancing On My Own," "Hang with Me," and "Indestructible."

Robyn followed this with two EPs: Do It Again (2014) with Röyksopp, and Love Is Free (2015) with La Bagatelle Magique.

Honey, her eighth solo album, received critical acclaim in 2018.

Personal life

Robyn's parents ran an independent theatre company, and growing up in that culture influenced her sense of style: "I was around people dressed up for work every day, and so the suggestion of using clothes to express who you are is very interesting to me." Robyn has two younger siblings.

Robyn first met Olof Inger in 2002 and they were engaged until 2011. In a 2013 interview with Collection of Style magazine as her fiancé, she later became engaged to videographer Max Vitali, saying, 'We became friends when we made the video for 'Be Mine.' "He made all of the videos for the last album." Following the publication of Body Talk, she and Vitali separated for a period of time, but by 2018, they had reconciled.

Robyn Career

Career

In the 1989 Swedish-Norwegian animated film The Journey to Melonia, Robyn portrayed Miranda. Per hlin's film The Tempest is loosely based on William Shakespeare's The Tempest.

She performed "Du kan allett nummer ett" ("You Can Always Be Number One"), Lilla Sportspegeln's theme song, in 1991 at the age of 12. On another television show, Söndagsöppet, Robyn performed her first original song at that age (Sundays). Meja and her band, Legacy of Sound, visited Robyn's school as part of a musical workshop, and she was discovered by Swedish pop singer Meja in the early 1990s. Meja was worried about Robyn's results, and her boss was contacted, and a meeting with Robyn and her parents was arranged. Robyn joined Ricochet Records Sweden at age 14 after completing middle school education in 1993 (which was acquired by BMG in 1994). Robyn co-produced with producers Max Martin and Denniz Pop, who gave the singer a gritty (but popular) sound.

She began her pop-music career at age 15, signing with RCA Records in 1994 and releasing her debut song ("You've Got That Somethin") in Sweden. Robyn's Swedish breakthrough came later this year with the single "Do You Really Want Me (Show Respect)." The singles became a member of Robyn Is Here, which was released in October 1995. Robyn performed vocals on Blacknus' 1996 album, "Roll with Me." She was nominated for the Eurovision Song Contest 1997 as co-writer and producer of "Du gör mig hel igen" ("You Make Me Whole Again"), Cajsalisa Ejemyr's first appearance. The song came fourth in Melodifestivalen 1997.

Robyn's breakthrough came in late 1997, when the dance-pop/R&B singles "Show Me Love" and "Do You Know (What It Takes)" reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 hit the top ten. That year, she appeared on "Show Me Love" on the American children's show All That. The songs also did well in the United Kingdom, and she did a good job. "Do You Really Want Me (Show Respect)" was re-released by Robyn internationally, but it was less popular than other offerings. It was ineligible for the US charts because there was no such thing, but on the Hot 100 Airplay chart, it ranked at number 32. In 1998 Lukas Moodysson film "Show Me Love," the song's name was used as the title of the film in English-speaking countries. Robyn's international success soared, she was diagnosed with exhaustion and returned to Sweden to recover.

My Truth, Robyn's second album, My Truth, was released in Sweden in May 1999 and later in Europe. My Truth came to the number one position in Sweden, thanks to a commercial success named "Electric." The autobiographical album contained songs "Universal Woman" and "Giving You Back." Despite her popularity in the United States with Robyn Is Here, My Truth was not announced in the region, partially because it featured an abortion she had in her youth. Robyn appeared on "Remember" and "Celebration" on Christian Falk's 1999 debut solo album, Quel Bordel (What a Mess). She appeared on Petter's self-titled album "Intro/Fristil" the following year. Robyn performed "You'll Walk the Distance" on the line's soundtrack in 2001.

In July 2001, she signed a worldwide contract with Jive Records, moving from BMG after she was "disillusioned with the lack of artistic influence [she] was there]; a year later, BMG bought Jive Records after the singer was "disillusioned with the lack of artistic control [she] was there]; a year later, Jive was purchased by BMG when it bought Zomba Records. "I was right where I started," Robyn said later. Don't Stop the Music, her sister's album, was released in Sweden in October 2002. "Keep This Fire Burning" and "Don't Stop the Music" are two of the album's singles, which also include Scandinavia and Europe. The title track was later covered by Play, and Beverley Knight, the British soul singer, was able to film "Keep This Fire Burning") on the front page. Robyn's Best was published in the United States in May 2004. It was a condensed version of her debut album, with no content from her later releases. Det Bästa Med Robyn (The Best of Robyn) was released in Sweden in 2006, following her departure from BMG; the singles "Don't Stop the Music" and "Keep This Fire Burning were among her BMG's notable omissions, however, were "Don't Stop the Music" and "Keep This Fire Burning," her first three albums; however, she was not released in Sweden.

Robyn and her label's decade-long friendship began in 2004. When Jive Records responded with "Who's That Girl?" "With the singer's latest electropop sound, she decided to start recording on her own." In early 2005, she announced that she would leave Jive to start her own brand. Konichiwa Records was founded in order to liberate Robyn artistically. Klas hlund of Teddybears STHLM, Swedish duo The Knife, and former Cheiron Studios producer Alexander Kronlund said on her website that her latest album would be out earlier than expected, with notable collaborators including Klas hlund from Teddybears STHLM, Swedish duo The Knife, and former Cheiron Studios producer Alexander Kronlund.

Robyn released the single "Be Mine!"

In March 2005, the university of Marrick commenced operations in March 2005. Robyn, her fourth album, was her first number-one album in Sweden when it was released a month later. Robyn was critically praised and named three Swedish Grammy Awards in 2006, including "Best Writer, with Klas hlund) and "Rets Pop Kvinnlig" (Best Pop Female). Robyn, who was known for co-writing the song "Money for Nothing" for Darin Zanyar (his debut single), piqued global interest in the album. "Who's That Girl?" She has three more singles out: "Who's That Girl?" "Handle Me" and "Crash and Burn Girl" were two of the eponymous LP's that were so popular in Sweden. Robyn appeared on the Basement Jaxx track "Hey U" from their 2006 album, Crazy Itch Radio, and he appeared on Christian Falk's People Say (his second album) later this year. Robyn released The Rakamonie EP in the United Kingdom in December 2006 as a preview of her more recent work; "Konichiwa Bitches" followed in March 2007. A new Robyn version was released in the United Kingdom the following month, with two new songs, "With Every Heartbeat" (a collaboration with Kleerup) and "Cobrastyle" (a recap of a 2006 single by Swedish rockers Teddybears)—a slightly altered version of the original music.

"With Every Heartbeat," the UK singles chart's second single, debuted in late July 2007, and debuted at number one on the UK singles chart. Robyn appeared on Live Lounge, Jo Whiley's BBC Radio 1 showcase show. "With Every Heartbeat" on radio and television networks in Australia, where Robyn debuted in the top ten of iTunes's album charts, drew notice. Robyn performed vocals on Fleshquartet's "This One's for You," the first single from the Voices of Eden album earlier this year. Konichiwa Records has signed a worldwide licensing agreement with Universal Music Group to sell Robyn's music worldwide, and Island Records has released her UK albums. Cherrytree Records (a subsidiary of Interscope Records), a Cherrytree Records company, first published the Rakamonie EP in January 2008, and Robyn's US version was released in April of that year.
