Life and career
Lee was born on July 16 in Mount Vernon, New York. Lee began her acting career as part of the ensemble cast of the romantic comedy Hav Plenty in 1997, which was on view at the Toronto Film Festival. Debbi Morgan, a runaway character, spent the next years in smaller films and also co-starred in television shows. Lee also appeared on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Numbers on television. She appeared in R&B singer Usher's music video for his 2004 album "Confessions Part II."
Lee appeared in two films, action comedy National Security, with Martin Lawrence and Steve Zahn, as well as opposite LL Cool J and Gabrielle Union in the romantic comedy Deliver Us From Eva. Lee appeared in Hitch, a box-office hit starring Will Smith, in 2005. She co-starred with Smith in the drama film Seven Pounds in 2008, portraying his character's fiancee. She appeared in the 2008 comedy-drama This Is Not a Test. Lee co-starred alongside Don Cheadle in the comedy film Hotel for Dogs in 2009.
