Robin Harris Career

Career

Harris performed at the Comedy Act Theater in the mid-1980s as the master of ceremonies. His "old school" brand of humour began to gain him a following. In I'm Gonna Git You Sucka (1988), Harris made his acting debut as a bartender. Harris appeared in 1989's Do the Right Thing and Harlem Nights. In the 1990s, Harris played Kid, the father of Kid. He returned to Mo' Better Blues later this year in a small capacity as a jazz club MC.

Harris' mother Jamika would insist that she and her son and her friend Bé-bé's three children be with them on a date as she faithfully agreed to babysit them. The children would often make a fool out of and/or annoy Harris. They'd say, "We Bé-bé's children" would shrieb "We don't die, we multiply."

The Hudlin Brothers had intended to produce a film based on the "Bé-Bé's Kids" sketches, but Harris died while the film was still in pre-production. Instead, Bébé's Kids became an animated film. It was directed by Bruce W. Smith and starred Faizon Love (as Harris), Vanessa Bell Calloway, Marques Houston, Nell Carter, Jonell Green, Rich Little, and Tone L'c.

JEFF PRESTRIDGE: On Strictly Come Dancing, Prime Minister Liz Truss should be on Strictly Come Dancing, according to the JEFF

www.dailymail.co.uk, October 15, 2022
We now know what the U-turns meant for Kwasi Kwarteng (cheerio). In the coming days, we will find out about Truss. It doesn't look promising. They will matter a little - and a lot if they are households. A little in the sense that mortgage rates and inflation rise will not be reduced, and household budgets are being put under mounting strain. We're a long way toward a wealthy Labour government, which could be a big step toward a high tax-ladening Labour government.
