Roman Cechmanek, a former NHL goalie, has died at the age of 52, the Philadelphia Flyers 'heartbroken' in honor of the Czech player

www.dailymail.co.uk, November 13, 2023
Roman Cechmanek, a former Philadelphia Flyers goaltender, died on Sunday in his Czech homeland, age 52, according to the team. There was no reason given to the death. Cechmanek spent four seasons in the NHL, the first three with the Flyers from 2000-03. At that time in Philadelphia, he was voted to the 2021 NHL All-Star Game and twice named as the team's most valuable player. The Philadelphia Flyers' president of hockey operations Keith Jones expressed concern in a tweet. Cechmanek, a late-round draft pick, spent three seasons with the team from 2000 to 2003, where he made a lasting impression on our team on the ice and in the locker room.
