Rick Salomon (born January 24, 1968) is an American poker player best known for his friendships with Elizabeth Daily, Shannen Doherty, Paris Hilton, and Pamela Anderson.

In the 2018 World Series of Poker's Big One for One Drop tournament, he earned $2.8 million in the 2014, $3.3 million in the 2016, and $2.84 million in the 2018 World Series of Poker's Big One for One Drop tournament.

Early life

Salomon was born and raised in Neptune Township, New Jersey. He is of Jewish descent.

Personal life

Salomon and then-girlfriend Paris Hilton's sex tape was leaked on the Internet in 2003. Salomon also filed a lawsuit against the company that broadcast the tape, as well as the Hilton family, whom he accused of tarnishing his image by implying that he exploited Hilton. Salomon then claimed in his $10 million lawsuit that Hilton officials attempted to discourage television outlets from broadcasting excerpts of the tape by claiming that Hilton was underage when it was recorded (which would have made it illegal) and that they were attempting to compel him to delete the image she had created for her. Hilton also sued Kahatani Ltd. for $30 million in privacy breach and emotional distress.

Salomon began releasing the tape himself through the adult film company Red Light District Video under the name 1 Night in Paris in April 2004. Salomon dropped his case against the Hilton family after Paris Hilton's privacy complaint was dismissed out of court. Salomon and Red Light District Video agreed to pay Hilton $400,000 plus a share of the tape's sales earnings.

Salomon married voice actress Elizabeth Daily in 1995. Before divorcing in 2000, the couple had two children, Hunter and Tyson.

Salomon married actress Shannen Doherty in 2002. After nine months, the marriage was annulled.

Salomon and actress Pamela Anderson applied for a marriage license in Las Vegas on September 29, 2007. Anderson told talk show host Ellen DeGeneres in September that she was engaged; she referred to her fiancé only as a poker player. The two were married on October 6, 2007, during a break between the 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. screenings of "Hans Klok's The Beauty of Magic," at the Planet Hollywood resort, where Anderson was starring as a magician's assistant. Salomon and Anderson were divorced less than ten weeks later, and Anderson filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences. Anderson and Salomon were seen shopping together two days later. Anderson later wrote a note on her website stating that they were reconciling. Anderson's counsel filed a proof of summons in Los Angeles Superior Court on December 28, 2007. Anderson applied for divorce in February 2008, citing fraud as the reason. Salomon has also filed for an annulment citing fraud the following month. On March 24, 2008, the wedding was nullified.

Anderson and Salomon announced their marriage at an unspecified time in January 2014.

Anderson applied for divorce from Salomon on July 3, 2014, while Salomon requested an annulment in Nevada on the grounds of fraud. Salomon's divorce was approved on April 29, 2015, along with a $1 million settlement payment from Anderson.

Salomon was one of the first eight episodes of High Stakes Poker's Season 8. Salomon was one of the season's best pots against Bryn Kenney, who won $868,200 in a straight match.

Salomon hasn't won since 2018, despite accumulating live tournament winnings in excess of $9.9 million as of February 2021.
