Rick Gonzalez (born June 30, 1979) is an American actor and singer.

Timo Cruz of the motion picture Coach Carter, as Ben Gonzalez on the CW supernatural drama television series Reaper, and as Naps In Roll Bounce.

Rene Ramirez/Wild Dog, the CW superhero drama series Arrow, has him on display.

Early life

Gonzalez was born in New York City and of Dominican and Puerto Rican descent. His parents met in Washington, D.C., where they married. They migrated and settled in Brooklyn's Bushwick neighborhood, where they raised Gonzalez. His parents were divorced later this year. While living in Brooklyn, he attended elementary and junior high school. Gonzalez will host improvised "shows" for his family and participate in all of his school's performances ever since he was a young boy. Gonzalez's teachers were instrumental in persuading him to enroll in the High School of the Performing Arts, which is where Fame was based in Manhattan. He did as was suggested and was accepted. He graduated in 1997 and began to pursue a career in acting.

Career

Gonzalez began his acting career in New York, where he appeared in a small role in the film Thicker Than Blood (1998) as Sanchez. In 1999, he made his debut as Ricky in the film Mambo Cafe, which was released in 2000. He continued his development by appearing in the film Prince of Central Park (2000) before heading to Los Angeles, California.

In Los Angeles' 2001 film Crocodile Dundee, he landed a small part as a gangbanger. Rudy Bonilla in The Rookie, starring Dennis Quaid and as the sex-crazed Primo in the 2003 film Biker Boyz, followed him. Timo Cruz appeared in the film Coach Carter in 2005. Gonzalez also appeared in Twista's "Hope," the lead song off the Coach Carter film soundtrack. He was the male lead in Mashonda's "Back of Tha Club" video, and he also appeared in the Obie Trice film "Snitch," in which he plays a member of a group that robs a bank and then snits about them. Gonzalez appeared on "All Night Long" in Red Cafe's video, which was also on the Coach Carter movie soundtrack.

As Wilson Wilson, Vince Vaughn, and Will Ferrell, Gonzalez appeared in the 2003 comedy Old School (alongside Luke Wilson, Vince Vaughn, and Will Ferrell) as "Spanish," Laurel Canyon (2005) as Wilson DeLeon Jr., What We Do Is Secret (2007) as Patrick Tender (2006), as Brian Kelly, War of the Worlds (2005) as "Spanish." Paul Ortega appears in Apartment 143 as Paul Ortega.

He appeared on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2000), Touched by an Angel (2001) as Jorge Escalona, Buffy the Vampire Slayer (2002), CSI: Miami (2005), Lie to Me (2010), and Bones (2011). Gonzalez's "The Invisible Man" mixtape album, hosted by DJ G-Spot on May 24, 2011 cites "I called it the invisible man because of my inability to get my music career going for at least seven years and feeling ignored by the industry. "I was invisible to them (the music industry)." He appeared on "Bully Rap" off Sean Price's last album Mic Tyson's album Mic Tyson, which was released on October 30, 2012.
