This holiday season, Target is offering a $25 Christmas dinner to inflation-weary households following the success of its low-price Thanksgiving sale. A 6lb ham, 5lb of russet potatoes, French bread, mushroom soup, green beans, and some Favorite Day Peppermint Sandwich Cookies were all included in the meal, which was supposed to feed a family of four. Shoppers have from now until December 25 to make use of the offer. Last month, the store was offering a complete Thanksgiving meal for the same price. Target's chief food and beverage officer, Rick Gomez, is outraged. Such arrangements, according to the company, are a 'combination of value and delight that set us apart.' We saw this again over Thanksgiving, so we're building on the success by giving even more of what they love.'

A turkey at less than $1 a pound is included in the dish, as well as all the trimmings at a price that will not stretch the budget. It comes with enough for four people, with a 10lb frozen turkey, 5lb russet potatoes, 12oz Heinz turkey gravy, 14.5oz of green beans, and 6oz Stove Top turkey stuffing mix. The $25 package also includes 14.5oz green beans, 14oz Ocean Spray cranberry sauce, and 22oz Campbell's cream of mushroom soup. Target is investing $5 billion on its stores around the country as part of a strategy to keep them open and profitable. The Minneapolis company said the funds could be used to expand services for visitors and invest in digital facilities.
