Richard Norton Life

Richard Norton (born 6 January 1950) is an Australian martial artist, action film star, stuntman, stunt/fight coordinator or fight choreographer, and martial arts trainer.

After high school, Norton worked as a bodyguard in the entertainment business before pursuing an acting career.

He has attained a 9th Degree in Zen Do Kai, Australia. His first screen appearance was in the 1980 Chuck Norris film The Octagon, and he has worked on over 80 feature films and television programs.

Norton was employed as a personal bodyguard for The Rolling Stones, Linda Ronstadt, James Taylor, David Bowie, AbBA, John Belushi, Fleetwood Mac, and Stevie Nicks.

Norton has appeared on front pages (as well as in editorials) of martial arts magazines, including Black Belt twice (published in 1990), Australasian Combat Arts (published 1995 to 2000), and Martial Arts & Combat Sports (published 1999 to 2002). Norton was inducted into the Australasian Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2014. He is also the Head Instructor of the Richard Norton Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu University group.

Norton is best known for his appearances in Hong Kong action films. The Magic Crystal, Twinkle Lucky Stars, City Hunter (a live-action version of the manga), Millionaire's Express, and Mr. Nice Guy are among Norton's Hong Kong credits. "Painful is a catchphrase of Norton's "Painful" is the character's catchphrase. "Usually after getting a decisive blow, we're usually asked." In Twinkle, Twinkle Lucky Stars, where he meets Sammo Hung and Yasuaki Kurata in the film Millionaire's Express against Yasuaki Kurata, the most comedic example is shown.

Norton has battled many top martial arts action stars, including Jackie Chan (in three films, including City Hunter), Sammo Hung, Yasuaki Kurata, Benny "the Jet" Urquidez (in CyberTracker), and Cynthia Rothrock (in China O'Brien and Lady Dragon).

Norton doubling for Jones on the 2007 film The Condemned (starring "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Vinnie Jones). He appeared in Under the Red Moon, a modern drama.

Norton appeared at Berlin Movie Con, a martial arts festival, where he was accompanied by ten other Martial arts cinema stars in a two-day film premiere. In Berlin, Germany, it was staged. Cynthia Rothrock, Don "The Dragon" Wilson Wilson, and Conan Lee were among his co-stars.
