Early life
Dimitri Leslie Roger was born in Queens, New York City, on July 13, 1992. He is of Haitian descent and grew up speaking Haitian Creole fluently. When his parents' divorce, Roger and his mother moved with his mother to College Park, Georgia, when he was 13.
Rich the Kid said he listened to Nas, Jay-Z, 2Pac, Notorious B.I.G. & 50 cents were right, but he began listening to T.I. when he first moved to College Park. Young Jeezy and Jack Johnson. His first rap name was Black Boy Da Kid, but Rich the Kid later changed it to Rich the Kid. He attended Elmont Memorial Junior – Senior High School in Elmont, New York.
Personal life
Roger was married to Antonette Willis and had two children with her. Willis filed for divorce in March 2018, seeking full physical protection while still giving Roger visitation rights and joint legal custody. Willis is also looking for spousal assistance. Willis accused him of cheating on her with Blac Chyna and India Love, and even claimed that he was in a relationship with the former. Willis later said that Roger assaulted her and coerced her to have abortions regularly, and that it was normal for police to be called to their home for domestic assault.
Following the divorce announcement, Roger started dating Tori Hughes (also known as Tori Brixx). Following a home invasion at Hughes' house on June 15, 2018, Roger was hospitalized. Several men broke into Hughes' home carrying pistols and demanded rent, according to a police study. When Roger attempted to confront them, they were beaten by them, leaving them with a "hefty" amount of money and jewelry. Rich the Kid was involved in a UTV accident in Calabasas, California, on December 29, 2018 when Dimitri and his friend were riding around in a Polaris RZR 4-wheeler. Dimitri appears to have lost control of it and crashed off of his RZR 4-wheeler and severely injured his hand, according to TMZ's reports. He was admitted to the hospital right away. He was robbed and shot outside the Westlake Recording Studio in West Hollywood, California, in February 2019.

Feels Good 2 Be Rich, the artist's second solo mixtape, was released in August 2014, and featured musicians Migos, Young Thug, Kirko Bangz, Stalley, Soulja Boy, RiFF RaFF, Jeremih, Yo Gotti, French Montana, Chinx & Kodak Black. Rich the Kid's album "On My Way" features GS9 musicians Bobby Shmurda & Rowdy Rebel, which was released in November 2014. Rich Than Famous, YG's third mixtape richer than famous, was released in December 2014 and featured Bobby Shmurda, Rowdy Rebel, Gucci Mane, Johnny Cinco, and PeeWee Longway.
Rich the Kid's first appearance in 2015 was a collaborative mixtape titled Still On Lock with Migos. Flexin' on Purpose was released in August 2015. Master P, Young Dolph, Ty Dolla $ign, Fetty Wap, and Rich Homie Quan were among the 14-track projects that culminated in collaborations. Lil Wayne, Swae Lee, Quavo, Offset, Trippie Redd, Khalid, Kendrick Lamar, Future, Jay Critch, and Chris Brown's debut studio album, "The World Is Yours" debuts at number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 on March 30, 2018. On March 22, 2019, his second album, The World Is Yours 2 was released a year later. It debuted at number four on the US Billboard 200, marking his second top ten albums on the nation. Rich the Kid left Interscope Records and signed with Republic Records on December 6, 2019, but the UMG umbrella remains. He stuck to the March-releases, with his third album Boss Man being released on March 13, 2020, and then announcing Rich's first appearance on Republic Records. He later signed to Empire Distribution, their own independent label, and launched Nobody Safe, a joint mixtape with YoungBoy Never Broke Again, in New York City.
