Personal life
Burchmore was born in Sydney and attended Beverly Hills Girls High School. She received a fellowship to the University of New England, where she concentrated in Theatre Arts. Career
In the 1982 film The Pirate Film, Burchmore appeared as Kate. In 1988's production of Sugar Babies opposite Garry McDonald and Broadway actor Eddie Bracken, Burchmore gave her first Australian theatre appearance.
