He is Rodjun Cruz's younger brother.
Personal life
Rayver is a founding member of the Cruz family, a well-known family line in the Philippine entertainment industry. Rodjun Cruz and Omar Cruz-Ilustre are two older brothers. Rodolfo L. Ilustre's father died of kidney disease in 2009 and his father, Rodolfo L. Ilustre, died as a result of kidney disease. He completed Grade 6 in Saint Mark's Institute in Las Pinas City.
He earned a B.S. degree in 2010. Business Administration Management degree from St. Francis of Assisi College.
Rayver is also a cousin of Sheryl Cruz, Sunshine Cruz, Geneva Cruz, and Donna Cruz.
Career
Cruz and his brother Rodjun appeared together in a children's magazine show 5 and Up on ABC (later TV5). In 1994, he joined GMA Network and began as a kid star in the comedy show Kiss Muna, then to ABS-CBN in 2002 and became a part of the company's contract work before becoming a Star Magician.

He left Star Magic on June 14, 2018, but he remained in Bagani, his last project at ABS-CBN. Cruz returned to his home network, GMA Network, after 18 years as he signed a deal on September 6, 2018. In addition to acting and dancing, he received a huge break in singing and hosting as he hosted some GMA shows such as the defunct variety show Studio 7 and The Clash with Julie Anne San Jose.
Cruz is currently starring on variety show All-Out Sundays.
