He was drafted by the Oakland Raiders then but by the Carolina Panthers as a free agent in 2010.

He played for college football at Virginia.


Rashawn Jackson Career

Professional career

Jackson signed with the Carolina Panthers on April 30, 2010 after going undrafted in the 2010 NFL Draft. He was released on September 4, 2010, and he was assigned to the practice squad. He made his NFL debut against the Pittsburgh Steelers on December 23, 2010. In 2010, he appeared in two games, beginning with one for the Panthers.

On September 1, 2011, he was postponed.

On November 14, 2011, Jackson was assigned to the Chicago Rush. On January 9, 2012, he was exempted by the Rush.

The Oakland Raiders announced on January 9, 2012, that he had agreed to a future/reserve deal. He was admitted to the Injured Reserve on August 29, 2012 and later suspended on September 5, 2012, following an injury settlement. Jackson demonstrated game changing catching ability, sneaky quickness, and his versatility to play many positions on his team. His retirement highlighted the sad truth that the Fullback position was being phased out of the game.
