Career
Young's first credit appearance came in a short-lived ABC sitcom Super Fun Night's 2014 episode. Reflections, she wrote, produced, and starred in a short film in 2015. In addition to acting in and producing, she directed and did several other film roles on Live Exit Here, another short film in which she also appeared, wrote, and produced.
During the third season of Syfy's Z Country, Young began portraying Kaya, an Inuk woman, before becoming a key cast member. She first auditioned for Sun Mei. On the second season of ABC's The Real O'Neals, Young was cast in another recurring role as Allison, a lesbian teen.
Young appeared as Robin in FXX's Man Seeking Woman in a recurring role as Robin in January 2017. Young appeared in the Netflix series Santa Clarita Diet the following month, portraying an eponymous deadpan store clerk in all three seasons. In 2017, she was also cast as a series regular in the Fox comedy pilot Thin Ice. The initiative was later approved.
