Career
Raina tried to audition with JYP Entertainment to become a rapper before joining Pledis Entertainment. Raina was a barista at the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf for a debut. She appeared on Mnet's Superstar K before and was a student at the SM Academy. Raina is considered to be one of South Korea's top vocalists.
Raina debuted with Afterschool on their second single "Because of You," which attained No. 2nd place. On SBS Inkigayo, you will find 1 on the Gaon Digital Chart and won the "triple crown" on the SBS Inkigayo. On June 18, 2010, she debuted on After School's sub-unit Orange Caramel with the song "Magic Girl." In February 2012, she released her first solo single for the My Shining Girl OST. Raina has written lyrics for Orange Caramel's "Still" and "Standing in This Place" and "Standing in This Place." Raina also wrote the lyrics for "Love Love" and "Timeless" after school.
Raina and rapper San E released a R&B duet titled A Midsummer Night's Sweetness on June 12, 2014. Soon after it was announced, the collaboration reached the top of all major music charts in South Korea, and it was No. 1. 4 on the year-end Gaon Digital Chart.

Raina released It's Okay as part of a collaboration with producer Bumzu in August 2018. Raina's soundtrack single Home, which was released on September 5, 2018 as the fifth OST for SBS' drama "Your Honor," according to a later date.
