Rachel Alice Marie Skarsten (born April 23, 1985) is a Canadian actress best known for her role as Dinah Lance in Lost Girl, Tamsin in Lost Girl, Elizabeth I of England in Reign and Beth Kane/Alice in Batwoman.

Early life and career
Skarsten was born in Toronto to a Norwegian father, Dr. Stan Skarsten, and his partner, Canadian Mary Aileen Self, of English descent. She has a younger brother.
Rachel studied at the Royal Academy of Dance for a decade and attended Claude Watson School for the Performing Arts from grade 4 to 8. She earned her degree in visual arts and cello. She continued to participate in the Claude Watson Arts Program at Earl Haig Secondary School from grades 9 to 12, majoring in visual arts.
She went on to be a regular in shows such as Little Men until being led in the Warner Brothers television series Birds of Prey after being discovered by an agent at a memorial for her father.
Skarsten left Los Angeles and returned to Canada, where she earned a double degree in English Literature and Classical Studies at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, after filming concluded. Following this, she returned to acting on The LA Complex, Flashpoint, and The Listener, as well as work in Canadian independents such as Servitude and Two Hands to Mouth. In the film version of Fifty Shades of Grey, Andrea played Andrea. Alice / Beth Kane, the main antagonist of the Batwoman television series, is currently on tour.
