Priyanka Gandhi (born 12 January 1972), also known by her married name Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, is an Indian politician and the general secretary of the All India Congress Committee in charge of Eastern Uttar Pradesh.
She is the granddaughter of Feroze and Indira Gandhi, and the niece of the politically influential Nehru-Gandhi family.
She is also a trustee of the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation.
Early life and education
Priyanka Gandhi attended Modern School (New Delhi) and Convent of Jesus and Mary, Delhi. She received a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi, and later a master's degree in Buddhist studies in 2010.
Personal life

Political career
Gandhi used to visit Rae Bareilly and Amethi, where she interacted with the people directly. She served as her mother's campaign manager and helped with her brother Rahul Gandhi's campaign in 2004 India's general election. Rahul Gandhi, who led the national campaign, emphasized the ten seats in the Amethi Bareilly district, spending two weeks trying to put an end to significant infighting within the party cadre over seat allocations.
Priyanka Gandhi officially entered politics on January 23, 2019, having been named the Congress General Secretary in charge of the eastern portion of Uttar Pradesh. On September 11, 2020, she was appointed General Secretary in charge of the entire Uttar Pradesh state. Gandhi was arrested by police, who cited a ban on gatherings, while on her way to Agra to visit the relatives of a man who reportedly died in police detention.
On October 23, 2021, Priyanka Gandhi launched the Congress party's Uttar Pradesh poll bid from Barabanki. Under Gandhi's leadership, the Congress party fought the 2022 Uttar Pradesh assembly election, losing largely.
