Preston Lacy (born August 14, 1969) is an American stunt performer, writer, and comedian, as well as one of the stars of MTV's reality stunt show Jackass.
Career
Lacy was born in either Sarcoxie or Carthage, Missouri, on August 14, 1969. He worked as a truck driver in Missouri before heading to California. He appeared in a number of commercials, including one for Napster that aired during Super Bowl XXIX. Lacy first encountered Johnny Knoxville through the ex-wife of Knoxville, who operated a clothing store. Lacy was hired to move textiles for the clothing company. Lacy started to suggest ideas for the Jackass series to him after being friends with Knoxville. Knoxville was originally hired as a writer and convinced Lacy to partake in the stunts.
Lacy gives credit to National Lampoon's TV show The Movie, which includes a writing credit. In the film Christmas in Wonderland, he appeared alongside Chris Kattan.
