Pooja Bedi Life

Pooja Bedi (born 11 May 1970) is a former Bollywood actress, television talk show host, and newspaper columnist.

She is the niece and granddaughter of actor Kabir Bedi and Protima Bedi.

In 2011, Pooja appeared on the famous reality show, Bigg Boss.

Personal life

Bedi married Farhan Furniturewala, a Gujarati Muslim of Parsi and Khoja descent who was born in 1990. Bedi converted to Islam after marriage, and they were married on May 6, 1994, and they took the name Noorjahan. They have two children, Alaya Furniturewala, born in 1997, and Omar Furniturewala, born in 2000. In 2003, Bedi and Farhan divorced.

Bedi was employed by a Maneck Contractor in February 2019.

During the COVID-19 pandemic in May 2020, she travelled from Mumbai, which was a red zone under quarantine, to Contractor's holiday home in Goa (then a green zone, but then turned red due to floods from COVID-19 hotspots in other states of India), and sparked outrage on social media by criticizing the quarantine establishments in the state. She caused outrage among the native Goans by falsely claiming that she and Contractor are both Goans.
