Plumb Life

Tiffany Arbuckle Lee, better known as Plumb, is a Christian singer, recording artist, and author.

Plumb has released more than 500,000 albums and over two million singles worldwide, co-penned songs for many other artists, including Michelle Branch, Mandisa, Mandy Moore, Jaci Velasquez, and Natalie Grant, and have had music included in many films and television shows.

Plumb, who was signed as a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) recording artist in 1997, is now known as well as or better in alternative rock, electro dance, and the use of her music in film and television than she is in the CCM market.

Personal life

"My faith and my children," Plumb wrote on Facebook. To me, they are everything.

I had no idea that I would be a single parent to them. Since they came along, I never imagined being single. I had an image of the man I was married to and I growing old together and dying together as the example in the notebook. I had no idea I'd be the priest in my household. I'm by myself.

Things don't always turn out the way we planned, and it has taken me a long time almost 34 months to figure out why."

Jeremy Lee, her ex-husband, has three children.

Plumb Career

Career

Tiffany Arbuckle was born in Indianapolis but grew up in Atlanta, singing in church and school. She migrated to Nashville a week before her 21st birthday, where she now lives, and performed as a background singer for a variety of artists, including Bill Gaither and Amy Grant.

Plumb was born in 1997 as a five-piece band with Arbuckle on vocals, Joe Porter on drums, J.J. Plasencio on bass guitar, and Stephen Leiweke on guitar, with the Suzanne Vega song "My Favorite Plumb" in the name. Essential Records, a Silvertone Records affiliate, announced Plumb as its second artist after its debut artist Jars of Clay in 1995. When Arbuckle was encouraged to write, she turned to Matt Bronleewe, the original owner of Jars of Clay who happened to be her next-door neighbor, and the two struck it off. Plumb's debut album, which was released in 1997, was released in 1997. Plumb has reported later that the addition of the letter "B" to the end was inspired by her producer Matt Bronleewe, who also reflects Bronleewe's important contribution to her sound.

Plumb released Candycoatedwaterdrops, their second studio album, which received the 2000 Gospel Music Association Dove Award for "Modern Rock Album of the Year" in 1999. Three tracks from it were later covered by other artists; Jennifer Paige's "Stranded" and "Here With Me"; and Plummet's 2001 "Damaged" was released. Despite the fact that the album was nominated for Best Modern Rock Album in 2000 and saw good radio success with the single "God-Shaped Hole," Plumb's music was often deemed too dark and taboo for the mainstream Christian market. Plumb's ability to write songs about deeply personal topics, such as the international hit "Cut" that talked about cutting, and "Damaged," which addressed a girl's struggle with being molested as a child, resulted in a more enthusiastic audience of alternative and dance music. "Cut" was also prominently used in the 10th episode of season 1, "The Turning Point," fueling the change from CCM. All band members left the band in 1999, and Plumb became Tiffany Arbuckle's solo project.

Plumb considered leaving the music business after the 2000 album, but she changed her mind after receiving a note from a fan a few hours before what she thought to be her last concert. The letter was about her song "Damaged" about a girl who was being sexually assaulted as a child. Plumb wrote: "I don't care what you do, I just want you to never forget that you have changed someone's life." Beautiful Lumps of Coal was released on March 25, 2003 by Curb Records in 2003. "Real" the lead single, reached No. 1 on the charts, and it's now at No. 2nd place. In the UK Singles Chart, the 41 figures are at 41. Chaotic Resolve, her upcoming album, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart. On March 9, 2006, there were 177 people on the streets. "Better" ranked No. 1 on the charts at No. 4. On the US Christian airplay chart, 1 is number one. "Cut" was the Bronleewe & Bose remix of her sister's "Cut" sequel, which debuted at No. 1 in the United States. 1 on SiriusXM's dance hits channel BPM, and No. Billboard's Dance Charts Top Dance Club Songs 5 on Billboard.

Plumb released Blink, her fifth album, shortly after the birth of her second child, as a collection of lullaby inspired songs. It was announced on October 9, 2007, quickly becoming one of her best-selling and most enduring albums to date. In both the United States and Russia, Plumb's lead single "In My Arms" was used in conjunction with key plot narratives for both Vampire Diaries and One Tree Hill, and it became Plumb's biggest overseas success to date, with sales exceeding half a million singles in both the US and Russia. Kaskade, Scotty K. Bronleewe & Bromi, Gomi, and Bimbo Jones remixed "In My Arms," with the former achieving the No. 1 position. Billboard Dance Charts: 3nd position.

Curb Records revealed on May 19, 2009 that it would debut Beautiful History, the year's best hits album that featured many new songs. "Hang On" was the first single from Beautiful History to debut at No. 1 in the United States. 1 on Billboard Hot Dance Club Play in 2009 and 2010 and landed first on Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay chart.

Plumb and co-writer Matt Bronleewe, a long-time producer and co-writer, returned to the studio in 2010 to begin work on what would be her 6th studio album, as well as changing direction and signing with a new boutique company Street Talk Media. "Drifting," the project's first single, a co-penned duet with longtime friend Dan Haseltine (of Jars of Clay), went viral on Christian Rock radio. In early 2012, the second single, "Need You Now (How Many Times), debuted on CCM radio and became Plumb's most hit single to date in the industry, with a jump to No. 2. By year's end, both the United States and Canada have been ranked on multiple radio and iTunes charts. The single has been in regular rotation around the country for over a year, with over 100,000 radio spins sold on iTunes to date. Need You Now was released internationally in February 2013, peaking at a career-best No. 0 on the charts. On the Billboard 200 chart and No. 56, there are 56 people and No. 2 on the Christian album charts. The album received five Dove Award nominations, including Song of the Year and Contemporary/Pop Album of the Year. With her children now at least grade school age, as well as Need You Now's success, 2012 and 2013 saw the most exciting touring of her entire career, with some of them appearing at major festivals throughout 2012 and 2013.

Plumb's seventh studio album, Exhale, was released on May 4, 2015.

Plumb Music founded Plumb Music in early 2017 and released her first single "God Help Me" in July 2017. In late 2017, the song was one of six tracks on the EP God Help Me. She followed it up with the album Beautifully Broken on Centricity Music in June 2018.

Following the No. 0 in the top of the charts, there has been no one else in the world after the No. threw up its nose. Plumb's success with "In My Arms," "Hang On" and "Cut" has risen in popularity among dancers and artists alike. In 2011, she performed on "I Don't Deserve You," with trance DJ Paul Van Dyk, and filmed a music video together in middle Tennessee. Plumb's original version and recording of the song will be included on her sixth studio album, Need You Now, and appears in episode 5x02 of Vampire Diaries.
