Pierre Andre Garçon (born August 8, 1986) is an American Football wide receiver who is currently a free agent.
He played college football at Norwich University and Mount Union College and was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the sixth round of the 2008 NFL Draft.
He spent five seasons with the Washington Redskins as well as two with the San Francisco 49ers.
Early life
Garçon, who is of Haitian descent, is bilingual and fluent in French. Garçon attended John I. Leonard High School in Greenacres, Florida. He has two varsity letters in football. College career
Garçon began his college years at Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont. He appeared in ten games and had 44 receptions for 1,017 yards and 13 touchdowns as a freshman in 2004. He transferred to Mount Union College in the Ohio Athletic Conference, in the hopes of participating in a more football-oriented program. As a Purple Raider, he made more than 60 catches, 1,000 yards, and 15 touchdowns. While at Mount Union, he coached the team in two consecutive NCAA Division III Football Championships, but the team fell just shy of a third. Since receiving 68 receptions for 1,196 yards and 16 touchdowns during his second year in 2005, he received Ohio Athletic Conference second-team honors. He was named to the Ohio Athletic Conference first team as a freshman and was named OAC's Most Outstanding Receiver. He was third in the country with 1,212 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns. Garçon, a senior in 2007, was one of the Ohio Athletic Conference first team and was the recipient of the Ed Sherman Award for the second time. He had 67 receptions for 955 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Professional career
Garçon was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the sixth round of the 2008 NFL Draft, with the 205th overall pick. He made his NFL debut against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 2. He took his first reception against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 10 later this week. Garçon played for 23 plays in his rookie season, with just four interceptions for 23 yards.
Garçon was named Reggie Wayne's back-up by the 2009 season at the start of the season. Anthony Gonzalez was recalled in the first game of the season after being hospitalized.
