Phil Keoghan Life

Philip John Keoghan (born 31 May 1967) is a New Zealand television presenter who is best known for hosting the U.S. version of The Amazing Race on CBS since its inception in 2001.

He is also the producer and host of No Opportunity Wasted, which has been produced in the United States, New Zealand, and Canada.

As of 2016, he has been involved in ten Primetime Emmy Awards relating to his participation on The Amazing Race, in which the show has consecutively won the Outstanding Reality-Computition Competition seven times.

Early life

Keoghan was born in Lincoln, a satellite town of Christchurch, New Zealand. Keoghan spent a substantial portion of his childhood in Antigua and Canada due to his father's work. He was back to Christchurch by the time he was in high school, and the following year, he attended St Andrew's College in Christchurch.

Personal life

Phil Keoghan, Phil's father, is an agricultural scientist working with conservation in New Zealand. He appeared alongside his son as a Pit Stop greeter during the 13th season of The Amazing Race in New Zealand. In Rolleston, New Zealand, John Keoghan and his wife run a bed and breakfast.

Andrew Keoghan's brother was a television reporter for Television New Zealand's One News and is a jazz guitarist. Ruth Keoghan Cooper, a former teacher, specializes in coaching, education, and professional women who want to combine work with motherhood.

Keoghan, his wife and production partner Louise Keoghan (née Rodrigues), and their child, Elle, live together in Edmonton, Colorado. Louise is an Australian-born television producer and co-creator of No Opportunity Wasted and Tough as Nails. They now live in Los Angeles, California. They also have homes in Matarangi on the Coromandel Peninsula and Westport.

Channel 10 has revealed yet another reality television show as the network prepares to introduce Tough As Nails' Australian version. The gritty TV series was originally hosted and produced by Phil Keoghan and his partner Louise in America. A casting notice was sent out for an Australian version of the series earlier this year, but TV Blackbox announced on Tuesday that filming was starting this month.
