Peter Wolodarski Life

Peter Wolodarski (born 15 April 1978) is a Swedish journalist and television host.

He has been the editor of the Stockholm-based Dagens Nyheter since 10 March 2013.

Early life

Wolodarski was born in Stockholm. His father, architect and town-planner Aleksander Wolodarski, emigrated to Sweden from Poland in the late 1960s.

Career

Wolodarski began his journalistic career at the age of 12, serving as one of the cub reporters (a knattereporter) on the Swedish television show Barnjournalen (Children's Journal). He studied business administration at the Stockholm School of Economics and started as an editorial writer on Expressen and as a TV host with ke Ortmark on TV8.

Since 2001, Wolodarski has been writing for Dagens Nyheter. He was appointed as a political editor on 15 March 2009, but it was suggested that he become editor-in-chief in January 2013 and the appointment of editor and legally accountable publisher was confirmed informally (Swedish: ansvarig utgivare) on March 10, 2013. He has appeared on TV8 and Wolodarski, as well as serving on Judisk Krönika's editorial board (Sweden's Jewish Chronicle). He was awarded a Nieman Fellowship at Harvard University (2008–2009), where his research explored Russia's recent past.
