Pedro Aznar (born on July 23, 1959) is an Argentine musician and singer-songwriter. * He has worked with jazz, Argentina folk, and rock music, as well as a fruitful career as a solo artist. * He is best known for his jazz-oriented style by playing the fretless bass with a lot of influence from Jaco Pastorius. * He plays a key role in Argentina's rock, where he appeared with groups like ALAS and Pastoral in the mid-1970s. * He formed Serg Girán in 1978, one of Argentina's most influential bands for the next four years. * In 1982, Pat Metheny invited him to join The Pat Metheny Group as a vocalist, with whom he produced three Grammy Award-winning albums. He began his solo career in the 1960s, while also composing music to film soundtracks. The Argentine Association of Entertainment Critics' 1991 album Tango 4 with Charly Garca as a pair went platinum and was voted best rock album of the year in Argentina.
