DelVecchio was born in Providence, Rhode Island, on July 5, 1980. He is the son of Donna DiCarlo and Paul D. DelVecchio Sr. and Robert D. Career
Delvecchio was first seen on Jersey Shore in 2009. He has said he was not selected for Jersey Shore purely because of his music, but that his parents received a Myspace message after admiring his appearance. "The casting directors called me from Los Angeles and told them they wanted to bring a camera crew to Rhode Island to film a day in my life," the casting directors said. They caught me at the gym, filmed me tanning, and caught me going to the club. I'm back for the show six months later. "I never really auditioned."
