Career

Patrick Brammall graduated from Victorian College of the Arts in 2001. His breakthrough role was in the 2004 television film The Alice, which culminated in a starring role in the spin-off series in 2005. In 2008, he appeared in the television series Canal Road. Many television series, short films, and theatre were followed by this performance.

In 2010, Griff's brother Tim was cast in Griff's Invisible, a gentle comedy Griff the Invisible.

Brammall appeared in two ABC comedy series – The Strange Calls as Sgt Neil Lloyd – and A Moody Christmas as Sean Moody (for which he received the AACTA Award for Best Performance in a Television Comedy) in 2012. Sean Moody played him in 2013 for the eighth season of The Moodys. He also wrote episode 5 of the series, and was also nominated for the Australian Writers' Guild Award for Best Narrative Comedy.

In 2013, he appeared in The Elegant Gentleman's Guide to Knife Fighting, a sketch comedy series for the ABC, before going on to play Rupert Murdoch in the Nine Network miniseries Power Games: The Packer-Murdoch War, which premiered in September 2013.

Danny Bright, a comedian, appeared in ABC's comedy series Upper Middle Bogan, which premiered in August 2013. In October 2014, the second season premiered.

Brammall appeared in the main cast of Network Ten's Offspring in 2014, portraying midwife Leo Taylor. In addition, he appears in The Little Death, a Josh Lawson-written and directed comedy film.

He appeared in both the film Ruben Guthrie and the Stan series No Activity in 2015.

Brammall wrote a piece on Bluey in 2020 about Bandit's brother Rad.
