Life and career
Calvin B. Brown married Calvin B. Brown. Brown and his mother were married on January 3, 1961, and they continued to marry until his death in 1976. Charlotte Brown Swanson was their only child.
After a long career as an English teacher, she began acting in her 50s. During the 1960s and 1970s at Carson High School in Carson, California, she taught English literature. She is best known for her appearance in Desperate Housewives (2004)–2007, primarily on television. She appeared on daytime soap operas titled 'General Hospital' and Days of Our Lives. She has appeared in feature films, including Sister Act and Sister Act 2: Recovering in the Habit.
Brown died on July 2, 2019, at the age of 90, at the Motion Picture & Television Country House and Hospital in Woodland Hills, California.
