He began designing and selling to his classmates, then moved to graduate in fashion and design, using his mother's old sewing machine. He aided a friend make clothes for a fashion preview; after being lauded for his efforts, he sold his first collection to a Covent Garden menswear store. In 1987, some of his first pieces were also sold in Academy on Newburgh Street. In 1991, he opened his first studio in Portobello Road. He staged his first catwalk presentation at Paris Fashion Week in 1994, becoming the first tailor to host a catwalk show in Paris.

www.dailymail.co.uk, December 9, 2023
The airline has since changed policies advising employees what kind of underwear they should be wearing under their new uniforms, which was first introduced in October. Last year, BA loosened the regulations around its draconian approach and went gender-neutral to encourage male pilots and crews to wear make-up and carry handbags. Although the new uniforms were gendered, BA's policy now allows employees of a specific gender to wear such clothing. However, crew members screamed that the new uniforms, which included a'modern jumpsuit', skirt and trouser options for women, and a tailored three-piece suit for men with regular and slim fit style trousers, resulted in passengers commenting on their underwear that could be seen through blouses.
