Óscar Jaenada Career

Career

At the age of 13, Jaenada began acting in Shakespeare plays. In the magazine Fotogramas, the memory of his grandmother's taking him to the Rvoli Cinema made him want to be an actor. He studied with the theater company l'Endoll de Esplugues de Llobregat.

Jaenada left Madrid to improve his career aspirations and started working as a waiter at the Hard Rock Café in Madrid. He performed in 7 vidas and Hospital Central before being cast in feature films. He appeared in Lissstrata (2002) and Descongélate (2003), as some of his early roles were in such productions as Lisstrata (2002) and Descongélate (2003). Achero Maas was given the leading role in November (2003) just a few years later. Jaenada was a nominee for the Goya Awards in 2004 for his role in this film but he was unable to attend the premiere because he was in Argentina filming El juego de la verdad. On his return to Spain, he was offered several roles in comedies. The lead in the film XXL (2004) was one of them. He also appeared in the film Javier ya no live solo.

Jaime Chávarri, a comedian from Jaepan, gave him a script for a film about flamenco singer Camarón de la Isla. Since the actor could not sing, the actor had reservations about accepting. He later took the role after his brother Victor, a visual artist, encouraged him to do so.

Camarón debuted at the San Sebastián International Film Festival in 2005, where critics had already speculated at a potential Goya award. Jaenada was nominated for the Goya Award for Best Actor in Camarón on December 15, 2005. He was nominated for the Silver Frames award and the Circle of Cinematographic Writers gold nine days later. Jaenada received all three awards at the start of 2006. On February 20, he was named as the best actor of the year by the Circle of Cinematic Writers, he won the Goya Award, and he received the Silver Frames award on February 20. Also in 2006, Jaenada performed as master of ceremonies with Candela Pea at the inaugural gala of the Málaga Film Festival. He received a medal at the Spanish Actors Union for his Chavarri work a week later.

On Stranger Tides, where Jaenada played a Spanish officer, he auditioned for a part in Pirates of the Caribbean in 2011. In 2011, the Telecinco series Piratas returned to the pirate theme.
