Orlando Jordan Career

Professional wrestling career

Jordan made his WWE television debut on the May 31, 2003 episode of Velocity, in which he defeated Jamie Noble. Jordan made his first SmackDown appearance on June 26, 2003. He appeared as a face at Madison Square Garden, where he lost to John Cena. Although he did not win the game, he was still outstanding enough that when Cena attacked Jordan after the match was over, the Undertaker, with whom Cena was feuding, came to the ring and helped Jordan to his feet. When Big Show had to run to the toilet after eating a burrito laced with laxatives on October 2, Jordan defeated Big Show via countout. On January 29, 2004, Jordan appeared on the front page of SmackDown!, where he was quickly defeated.

Jordan returned to SmackDown! on August 5 after a lengthy absence due to family problems, defeating René Duprée. Later in the night, Jordan retaliated by saving WWE Champion John "Bradshaw" Layfield (JBL) from an Undertaker assault. Jordan joined JBL's Cabinet on August 12, where he was named "Chief of Staff." Jordan faced the Undertaker in the main event later that night, losing by disqualification after JBL attacked Undertaker mid-match. Jordan first met Undertaker on August 26 of SmackDown! This time with JBL's WWE Championship on the line. After JBL interfered once more, the game resulted in a disqualification. On the November 25 episode of SmackDown!, Jordan and JBL defeated Eddie Guerrero and Booker T, who were named as the Cabinet's "co-secretaries of defense" on the December 2 episode of SmackDown! On the December 9 episode of SmackDown, Booker T, the Undertaker, and Eddie Guerrero defeated Jordan, JBL and the Bashams in a 4-on-3 handicap match. On January 30, 2005, Jordan appeared in his first Royal Rumble match at the Royal Rumble, but was disqualified by Booker T.

On the 3rd edition of SmackDown, Jordan and Cena sparred over the WWE Championship leading up to WrestleMania 21. Jordan won the United States Championship, his first and only title in WWE, beating Cena with the help of JBL. In a dark match before WrestleMania 21, Jordan was defeated by Booker T. His first major title defense was against Heidenreich at Judgment Day. Jordan began feuding with newly drafted Chris Benoit at The Great American Bash. Jordan defeated Benoit and retained his US Championship after removing the turnbuckle pad and shoving Benoit head-first into the exposed steel and protecting him for the victory. Benoit continued to fight Jordan for the title. At SummerSlam, he eventually defeated Jordan (in a record 25.5 seconds) to win the title. Following this quick match, Jordan attempted to win the United States Championship on three separate occasions, resulting in three straight losses with all matches lasting less than a minute. The first rematch lasted 23.4 seconds. Jordan actually knocked Benoit out with a punch in the first moments, but lost in 22.5 seconds, much faster than the first match. During the third match, Jordan stalled until the clock, which was on the TitanTron, went over 25 seconds. He was so excited when his time went over 30 seconds he lost his guard, and Benoit had the opportunity to lock on the Crippler Crossface for a win at the 49.8 second mark. Jordan claimed to have mastered every counter to Benoit's coveted Crippler Crossface on October 14 edition of Smackdown! Jordan also stated that if he were called out to the Crippler Crossface, Jordan would leave this career. Jordan lived up to his words by defying every Crippler Crossface attempt by Benoit. After Jordan tapped out Benoit's Sharpshooter, the match came to a close. Following those poor rematches, Jordan eventually dropped away from JBL, though both bands performed together later this year.

When Booker T got hurt halfway through his Best of Seven series for the United States Championship, he needed a replacement to face Chris Benoit. Booker T only had to win one match in order to become the United States champion when the series was 3-1 in Booker's favour. Jordan approached him about the job, but Booker T and his wife Sharmell belittled him and made racial retaliation quips about his quick submission loss to Benoit. Randy Orton was asked by the booker to substitute for him. Booker T. turned Jordan down after Orton failed to win the deciding match, causing Jordan to resign from the position next week. Jordan jumped the rail, grabbed Booker T's crutch, and snared Benoit for a disqualification finish, tying the Best of Seven Series at 3–3. Jordan returned to ringside to try to stop Booker T from winning the championship, but SmackDown's wife Sharmell distracted the show. Nick Patrick, a senior official, was referred to by the booker before being struck with a leg crutch by Booker. Chris Benoit saved him from Booker and Orton, the first time since 2004.

Jordan was then pushed back to Velocity and won several games there.

Jordan made his final SmackDown!

SmackDown's May 12 episode features an appearance! During the latest UK tour, Martinique told Nunzio that he had seen someone dressed in drag at a nightclub. On the May 13 episode of Velocity, Gunner Scott's last WWE appearance was a defeat. WWE fired Jordan from his WWE deal on May 26, 2006, reportedly for taking unauthorized people backstage with him.

Jordan joined wrestling internationally shortly after his WWE release, most notable for Nu-Wrestling Evolution, a promotion based in Italy, as well as New Japan Pro-Wrestling. In April 2008, Jordan became the NWE champion. He was involved in a match with the Ultimate Warrior later this month, resulting in the return of Warrior after a ten-year absence to face Jordan in a match in June 2008. Jordan lost the title to Warrior on June 25, 2008 in Barcelona, while still retaining the dignity of being Warrior's very last adversary.

The Impact of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling's Impact on Monday night is on display in January 4, 2010. In a backstage segment with D'Angelo Dinero, Jordan made his debut for the company. On the January 21 episode of Impact!, he then defeated Dinero as a heel. Jordan vanished from television after winning an upset over Samoa Joe on the February 18 edition of Impact!, before re-surfacing on Impact! on March 29, unveiling a new look and introducing the bisexual angle he had suggested to WWE creative before being banned from the company. Jordan signed a new multi-year deal with TNA on April 9. Jordan debuted his latest interview segment, O-Zone, during which he attacked and launched a feud with the Global Champion Rob Terry. Jordan battled Terry for the Global Championship, but he was disqualified. Jordan won a non-title over Terry after capitalizing on Terry's injured knee, which he suffered at Sacrifice, the following Thursday. Jordan's feud with Terry came to an end on the June 3 edition of Impact!, where the Global Champion pinned him down in a tag team match, where he teamed with Desmond Wolfe and Terry with Abyss.

Jordan defeated Homicide on July 21 of Explosion.

On the July 29 edition of Impact!

Jordan, himself, assembled a dysfunctional tag team against Eric Young, who had been fighting (kayfabe) mental disorders ever since getting a bump on the head, despite being completely unaware of Jordan's sexual orientation and admiration for him. Jordan defeated Suicide on the 29th edition of TNA Xplosion. Jordan and Eric Young faced Ink Inc. in a losing fight on the September 24 version of TNA Xplosion. This resulted in a rematch at Bound for Glory. Young's antics cost him and Jordan their match against Ink Inc. (Jesse Neal and Shannon Moore). Jordan and Eric Young defeated Rob Terry and Suicide on the October 15 edition of TNA Xplosion. Jordan defeated Magnus on the November 3 TNA Xplosion. An article about the team's upcoming appearance on Impact! In a tag team match on December 16, Jordan and Young defeated Generation Me (Jeremy and Max Buck) in a face-off. Lockdown, Jordan, Young, and Young were disqualified in their quest for the TNA World Tag Team Championship in a four tag team steel cage match, which was dominated by Ink Inc. on May 12, 2011. Jordan entered a fight royal to become the top contender for the world heavyweight championship, but didn't win the tournament. Jordan faced Magnus in the 1st round of the Xplosion Championship Challenge on June 28, 2011, but lost the match. Eric Young went on a singles run and won the TNA Television Championship, the TNA World Championships' predecessor to the TNA World Championship, while Jordan was cut off television. Jordan, Eric Young, and Amazing Red defeated Robbie E, Brutus Magnus and Doug Williams in a six-man tag team match on July 2, 2011, at a TNA Live Event. Jordan had been suspended from TNA as a result of his release on July 11, 2011.

Jordan met Steve Anthony in a lumberjack match on November 5, 2011, but lost the match. Jordan defeated Andy Phoenix in what would be his last match before retiring from professional wrestling at Outback Championship Wrestling's Battle for Ballarat event on May 31, 2013.

Jordan defeated AWE Heavyweight Champion Luke Knight in the Innerwest rumble on June 3, 2016, having qualified for a title challenge through the Innerwest rumble. He would, however, change the title to Knight weeks later.

Orlando is now mainly semi-retired, but he does appear in the All-Star Wrestling Australia promotion, based in Sydney, Australia.
