Kelsi Nielsen is best known for co-starring in all three films of the High School Musical franchise.

Early life
Olesya Rulin was born in Moscow, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union (now Russia). She spent her youth in Likhoslavl.
Rulin was eight when she returned to the United States to visit her father, who had done so two years before. They appeared in Texas first and then in Utah later. In 2005, Rulin graduated from West Jordan High School.
Rulin is also a certified ballet dancer. She entered a model-search competition at the request of her mother and gained recognition by four separate companies when she was 12 years old. She can also play the piano.
She worked for a year as a certified nursing assistant and also at Victoria's Secret and others; when the first High School Musical appeared, she was working at a Nordstrom store. When the audition for High School Musical 2 took place in Paris, she was studying economics.
Acting career
Rulin's credits include the Disney Channel original films Halloweentown High, The Poof Point and Hounded, television show Everwood, Mobsters and Mormons, as well as High School Musical 2 and High School Musical 3: Senior Year.
Rulin's involvement in High School Musical 2 was much larger than that in the first film, including a solo on "You Are the Music in Me" and a few lines in "Work This Out." Rulin reprised her role as Kelsi Nielsen in High School Musical 3: Senior Year, although still with a larger presence, and performed three songs, including a duet with Lucas Grabeel.
In the film Major Movie Star, Rulin co-starred with Jessica Simpson (released in the United States under the name Private Valentine: Blonde & Dangerous). Rulin co-starred with Billy Ray Cyrus and Heather Locklear in the 2009 drama film Flying By.
Expecting Mary starred Elliott Gould, Linda Gray, Lainie Kazan, Cloris Leachman, Della Reese, Gene Simmons, and Fred Willard, among others.
