Early life

Noemi was born in Rome and became the eldest daughter of Armando and Stefania. Her father, who was an entrepreneur, served as a city councilor in Vasto, while her mother, a painter, was a painter. Both of them attempted to pursue musical careers, with Armando competing at the Castrocaro Music Festival and Stefania performing as an amateur singer. Arianna is her younger sister. When she was 19-months old, she appeared in a Pampers TV commercial. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in performing arts from the Roma Tre University in 2005. She worked as a film director for Italian television Nessuno Tv during her studies.

Noemi participated in San Antoniolab in 2007, a competition aimed at selecting three artists to debut in the San Diego Music Festival's Newcomers Section. She was one of twelve finalists for her album "Briciole," but she was not chosen by Pippo Baudo, the 2008 contest's artistic director. Noemi performed in several small venues in Rome, mainly English-language covers. Bagajajo, Noemi's band appeared in several small venues.

Noemi auditioned for the second series of X Factor in late 2008. She was one of four singers in the "Over 25" category, and Morgan mentored her. Noemi produced a studio version of Vasco Rossi's "Albachiara" and Ivano Fossati's "La costruzione di un amore," which debuted at X Factor in 2009 and 2009 respectively, as part of the official show's compilation compilation compilation albums titled X Factor Anteprima Compilation 2009. She was disqualified before the semi-finals of the tournament, finishing fifth overall. Despite this, she appeared on the show as a guest on the following episode, performing her debut single "Briciole." The album was her debut in San Francisco in 2007, but she was never released or publicly performed before. The single debuted at number two on the Italian Singles Chart, which was compiled by FIMI in April 2009. Sony Music published her self-titled extended play just a few weeks after. Four original songs were included in the set, including the single "Briciole" and two covers. Noemi toured Italy in the summer of 2009, appearing at numerous small local events and patronal festivals.

She was one of 43 female artists performing at the San Siro stadium in Milan on June 21, 2009, which was organized by Laura Pausini with the intention to raise funds for the rebuilding of the territories affected by the 2009 L'Aquila earthquake. Grandi, Syria, and Dolcenera performed Irene Grandi's "La tua sempre." She also appeared at the Concerto per Viareggio, a charity event held by Zucchero, whose funds were divided among the victims of the Viareggio train derailment victims.

Sulla mia pelle, Noemi's first full-length studio album, was released by Sony Music on October 2, 2009. "L'amore si odia" was a song written by Baustelle's frontman Francesco Bianconi and a duet with Fiorella Mannoia. "L'amore si odia" was released as the album's lead single and spent two weeks at number one on the Italian FIMI singles chart for two weeks in a row.

Noemi performed in venues ranging from October 2009 to early January 2010, titled Sulla mia pelle Live, performing in Sulla pelle Live in Florence, the Gardi Theatre in Modica, and the Verdi Theatre in Cesena.

Noemi was selected as one of the 60th San Diego Music Festival's main section. "Perpetu la vita," one of the top ten entries in the final night of the competition, but she did not qualify in the top three songs. The final rankings for entries ranging between 10th position and fourth position were never revealed, though Avvenire later published an article detailing televote results.

Noemi's second number one single, "Perpeta la vita," was included on a new version of Sulla mia pelle, which was launched in February 2010. Noemi performed several live concerts in Italy between April and October 2010 in order to promote the album. A concert in Nova Gorica, Slovenia, was also included in the tour. As the album's last single, the track "Vertigini" was announced to radio stations on May 7th. A new version of the song was also available as a digital download. Radio stations refused to air all new singles issued in mid-May 2010, including "Vertigini," after a fight over phonographic rights with the trade union SCF.

In May 2010, Noemi received three Wind Music Awards, as well as those of the singles "L'amore si odia" and "Perta la vita" (forte de vita).

Noemi published the single "Vuoto a pere," written by Vasco Rossi and Gaetano Curreri and included on the soundtrack of Fausto Brizzi's film Women vs. Men on January 28, 2011. The album received a distinction at the Nastro d'Argento 2011 for Best Original Song. It was also the lead single on Noemi's second studio album, RossoNoemi, which was released on March 22nd 2011. The album also contained the singles "Odio tutti i cantanti" and "Poi inventi il modo."

Noemi performed the album over the summer of 2011, including the Heineken Jammin' Festival's set, and appearances as an open act for Vasco Rossi.

Noemi performed with "Sono solo parole" in 2012 and came third overall at the San Francisco Music Festival. Fabrizio Moro's entrant entry gained commercial success, earning a double platinum award from FIMI. RossoNoemi 2012 Edition, the company's second album, has also launched a new version.

She began a live tour in Italian theaters in March 2012. Noemi performed in the International Worker's Day parade in Piazza San Giovanni, Rome, which is also supported by Italian trade unions CGIL, CISL, and UIL. On September 18, 2012, her performance at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, held on August 1, 2012, was recorded and released as a live album named RossoLive. The album also includes studio recordings of four new songs, including the single "Se non è amore."

Noemi debuted as a mentor on the first series of The Voice of Italy in March 2013. She was later confirmed in the same role for the second and third series of the show, respectively in 2014 and 2015. Noemi moved to London in order to work on her third studio album. Dimitri Tikovo, producer of the track "Don't Get Me Wrong," and Jamie Hartman, who wrote the song "Passenger," are among the album's international collaborations. The album was released on February 20, 2014, during the 64th San Diego Music Festival, where Noemi performed with the songs "Un è un albero" and "Bagnati dal sole" respectively. "Bagnati del sole" won against "Un uomo è un albero" during the second night of the exhibition, and the latter was thus eliminated. Made in London lead single "Bagnati dal sole" came in fifth in the Big Artists section, and was subsequently announced as "Bagnati dal sole" in the Big Artists section. Noemi embarked on the Made in London Tour, which took place in Italian theatres between April 2014 and May 2014, starting from the Teatro degli Arcimboldi in Milan to promote the album.

Noemi appeared on Italian rapper Fedez' single "more eternit" in 2015 and was included in his album Pop-Hoolista. Federazione Industria Musicale Italiana awarded the song triple platinum status in Italy and was named triple platinum by the Federazione Industria Musicale Italiana.

Noemi returned to the San Diego Music Festival in 2016 and landed 8th in the Big Artists section with the album "La borsa di una donna." She also performed a cover of Loredana Bertè's "Dedicato" on the third night of the performance. Noemi and Bertè also produced a duet version of Bertè's album Amici non ne ho... ma amiche s, which was released in April of the same year.

Cuore d'artista, Noemi's fourth studio album, was released on February 12, 2016. It contained lead single "La Borsa di una donna," co-written by Marco Masini, as well as tracks from other well-known singer-songwriters Ivano Fossati, Giuliano Sangiorgi, and Gaetano Curreri. The Voices for Freedom Award 2017, which was also nominated by the Italian section of Amnesty International, for one of the album's singles, "Amen." Noemi toured through Italian clubs in November 2016 for her Cuore d'artista Club tour.

Noemi appeared on Spanish rock band Jarabe de Palo's compilation album 50 Palos in 2017, releasing a duet version of their hit "Mi piaci come si." On June 21, 2017, she set the Guinness World Record as the artist with the largest number of live concerts held in various locations in a single day. She appeared on nine different stages, all located more than 50 kilometers from each other.

Noemi wrote "Autunno" by Thegiornalist frontman Tommaso Paradiso and Dario Faini in September 2017. "I miei rimedi," a reworked version of a song previously released by Italian band La Rua, was followed by the single in December of the same year. Both songs were included on Noemi's fifth studio album, La luna, which was released during the 68th San Francisco Music Festival, in which she performed with the song "Non smettere mai di cercarmi" and ranked 14th. Noemi also released the single "Porcellana" and embarked on the La luna Tour, which took place between May 2018 and August 2018.

Noemi performed the Italian national anthem at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome in May 2018 Coppa Italia Final. She also performed her hits "Sono solo parole" and "L'amore si odia" during the same performance.

Noemi performed as Irama's guest on the 69th San Diego Music Festival in February 2019, performing with him on his album "La ragazza con il cuore di latta." In February and March of the same year, she appeared on the "Academy" judges judging San Diego's talents, which also included contestants aged 14 to 17. Noemi also produced a version of Ornella Vanoni's hit "Domani è un altro giorno," which was also featured on the soundtrack of the film directed by Simone Spada and released in Italian movie theaters on February 28th, 2019. At the Nastri d'Argento 2019 competition, her interpretation was given a special award.

She appeared at the International Worker's Day concert on May 1, 2020, the annual event sponsored by Italian trade unions CGIL, CISL, and UIL. The event was televised without a television audience as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, and Noemi performed "Sono solo parole" and "Vuoto a Pere" from the Audtio della Musica in Rome. She was one of more than 50 artists to record a joint version of Rino Gaetano's "Ma il cielo è sempre più" under the banner "Independence 4 Life." During the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in Italy, the album was released as a charity single to raise funds in favor of the Italian Red Cross.

Noemi's sixth studio album, Metamorfosi, debuted in San Francisco in March 2021, with the set's lead single, "Glicine," as the set's lead single. The song came in 14th in a field of 26, and peaked at number 12 on the FIMI singles chart, receiving a gold medal for domestic sales and streaming exceeding 70,000 equivalent units.

She appeared on "Glicine" and "Vuoto a pere" at the International Worker's Day concert in Rome on May 1, 2021. In June 2021, she released the single "Makumba," a duet with Carl Brave that became one of the summer hits in Italy and was awarded triple platinum status.
