Niki Taylor Life

Nicole Renee "Niki" Taylor (born March 5, 1975) is an American supermodel and television presenter.

Early life

Taylor was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Ken and Barbara Taylor, a highway patrol lieutenant and a photographer. She was born in Pembroke Pines, Florida, and attended Cooper City High School. She has an older sister, Joelle, and a younger sister, Krissy (1978-1995).

Personal life

Taylor met former Miami Hooters linebacker Matt Martinez during a coin toss at a Miami arena football game just a few months after graduating from high school in the spring of 1993. They eloped to Las Vegas three months later, in January 1994. A 4-month-pregnant Taylor married Martinez in a more traditional wedding ceremony in McCammon, Idaho, on July 19, 1994. Jake and Hunter, the couple's twin boys, were born in December 1994. Taylor and Martinez divorced less than two years ago.

Taylor became engaged to NASCAR driver Burney Lamar after just three dates in October 2006. They met in January 2006 at an autograph session. Their wedding took place on December 27, 2006 at the Grande Colonial Hotel in La Jolla, California. The couple requested that donations be sent to Victory Junction Gang Camp, a North Carolina youth camp for chronically ill children.

Ciel Taylor Lamar, Taylor and Lamar's first child together, was born on March 4, 2009, just one day before Taylor's 34th birthday. In Brentwood, Tennessee, Taylor lives with her husband, daughter, and sons. Taylor gave birth to her second child with Lamar, a boy named Rex Harrison Lamar, on November 16, 2011.

Taylor has returned to a high-profile life and career as a result of her appearances at major fashion events and New York Fashion Week, both with colleagues and also with her family.

Taylor was critically wounded in a car crash in Atlanta, Georgia, on April 29, 2001. Chad Renegar, the driver's then-boyfriend, was trying to answer his cell phone when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a utility pole. Taylor was wearing her automatic shoulder belt at the time, and she was not thrown from the car. However, she sustained significant internal injuries, including a collapsed lung and serious liver disease, and two steel rods had to be implanted in her back to hold her spine together. The woman was left unconscious and in a coma for six weeks, and then bedridden for a month. She was admitted to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta and underwent extensive physical therapy.

Niki Taylor Career

Modeling career

Taylor began dating Irene Marie Models in South Florida when she was 13. Jean Renard, who later became her boss, was a photographer who later became Jean Renard. She then won a Fresh Faces competition in New York City as well as a $500,000 modeling contract. Taylor's first magazine cover was an issue of Seventeen (August 1989) at 14. Brooke Shields was photographed for the Vogue cover in 1995, becoming the second youngest person to be featured on the magazine's front cover.

In 1991, Taylor became the youngest person to be named in People magazine's Most Beautiful People, sporting a bright-orange one-piece bathing suit with long lime-toe gloves in the article's photo spread, which accompanied the story. Taylor became the first spokesmodel under the age of 18 to sign a big deal with CoverGirl, and she became a star of their national television campaign the following year. Thierry Mugler, Escada, Liz Claiborne, Jean Paul Gaultier, Versace, Versus, Anne Klein, L'Oréal, Gap, Lee Jeans, and Pantene are among her previous ad campaigns. Taylor is the only one in NYC's Times Square to have six massive billboards, three of which featured her name on full display year after year.

Taylor debuted on the front pages of six major American women's fashion and fitness magazines in May 1996: Allure, Vogue, Marie Claire, Self, and Shape. This was the first time an 'Niki Six' was on display in history. She appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue's 1997 and 1998 editions, as the cover model for the 1998 Sports Illustrated swimsuit calendar. For the years 1997, 1998, and 1999, Sports Illustrated published three video segments of her photo shoots. Naomi Campbell, the 1998 segment, was with two other models, and Taylor alone was not included in the 1999 segment.

Taylor started a modeling career in September 2016, with shooting covers, editorials, and articles for major publications including Paper, Flaunt, Harper's Bazaar, and American Vogue. Jennifer Fisher has shot Marc Jacobs.

Taylor made a name for herself in September 2017 in both fashion and mainstream media, with her personal style gaining her best dressed accolades in Vanity Fair, Vogue, Hello! The magazine and WWD are two separate publications.

Taylor's last gig ended in 2000, and she became the face of CoverGirl in April 2021.

As Tatjana Patitz dies, see what happened to her peers in the 90s

www.dailymail.co.uk, January 12, 2023
During the 90s, supermodels like Karen Mulder, Elaine Irwin, Niki Taylor, Yasmeen Ghauri, Tatjana Patitz, Linda Evangelista, Claudia Schiffer, Cindy Crawford, and Christy Turlington's faces were plastered everywhere. The women practically reigned the fashion industry for more than a decade, posing in hundreds of magazines, appearing in numerous campaigns, and stomping the runways for several major brands. They even came together for an iconic cover shoot for Vogue's 100th Anniversary Special issue in April 1992 - but what exactly happened to the catwalk queens? Although some of their careers flourished in the 2000s, others struggled to find jobs and eventually fell off the grid, effectively ending off the limelight. In later years, several of the former '90s style breakouts were dogged by scandal and controversy - facing run-ins with the legislation, multiple marriages, and opioid use. FEMAIL has taken a look at what happened to her modeling peers as the modeling industry is being rocked by Tatjana's death, who died of breast cancer this week at the age 56.
