Chelsea 'send scouts to watch transfer target Viktor Gyokeres for the third time' as the Swedish striker nets a 39TH goal of the season in heavy 5-2 defeat by Portugal

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 22, 2024
Chelsea have been keeping a close eye on striker target Viktor Gyokeres according to reports from Portugal, with club scouts in attendance for Sweden's heavy 5-2 loss to Portugal on Thursday night.  Gyokeres has shot to prominence since singing for Sporting Club de Portugal from Coventry City, and is thought to be a name high up on the lists of a number of European clubs.  Chelsea are believed to be one of those, with London rivals Arsenal also thought to be monitoring the Swedish international's progress with interest.

Leicester 4-2 rated players: Raheem Sterling has a complete nightmare, and it's a bad day for two other Blues actors, but Nicolas Jackson is a natural performer

Despite Raheem Sterling's Chelsea side winning the FA Cup semi-finals, the FA Cup was a day to forget for him. Despite Chelsea's absence from the penalty spot, the team had a 2-0 lead at the break after scoring from Marc Cucurella and Cole Palmer. Leicester's fortunes were thrown back to the game thanks to their poor defensive decisions and more poor finishing from Sterling.

Eddie Howe'should definitely be in charge of Newcastle next season,' says Ian Ladyman of It's All Kicking Off, but warns that the Magpies' poor form prompted them to assume an upgrade.'

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 15, 2024
During the team's disappointing league campaign, Ian Ladyman wondered if the Newcastle hierarchy will continue to show their love for Eddie Howe. On Monday night, the Magpies suffered their 12th league loss of the season as a result of Nicolas Jackson's, Cole Palmer's, and Mykhailo Mudryk's poor record in the capital. With the result, Howe's side languished in 10th position, two points ahead of the Blues, who have a game in hand. It's a long way from their heroics last term, when they ended their campaign in the Champions League qualifying countries.
