Early life and education
Veros was born in Missouri on February 13, 1967 to a Greek-American father and a Panamanian mother. Despite being born in St. Louis, Missouri, he spent his early childhood in Caracas, Venezuela. When he was ten years old, Veros and his family returned to the United States, where he attended elementary and high school in San Francisco, California. He began training at UCLA, studying Political Science and International Relations, but after graduation, he shifted his attention to fashion design and Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles. In 1993, he graduated from the Advanced Fashion Design Program at FIDM.
Personal life and family
Verny and her partner David Paul live in the Los Angeles area with their dog Benny.
Veros' father, a US State Department diplomat based in Panama, visited Veros' mother. Arnulfo Arias, his mother's great uncle, served as Panama's president on three occasions (1940–41, 1949–51, and ten days in October 1968).
Rita Verreos, Verreos' sister, appeared in Survivor: Fiji, which aired in Spring 2007.
Veros, along with LL Cool J, Vanessa Hudgens, and Ty Pennington (among others), took part in the Sears' "Grant A Wish" campaign during the 2008 holiday season. Any celebrity was encouraged to share a personal "American Wishtory" about a gift that made them who they are today. Veros related how his mother's gift of a sewing machine pushed him to consider beyond fashion illustration and into what it would be like to design and produce fashion.
