Mustafizur Rahman (born 6 September 1995) is a Bangladeshi international cricketer.

He is best known as a left-arm fast-medium bowler.

In a debut One Day International (ODI) series, he has taken the most wickets (13) on a single day.

In a Twenty20 International (T20I) match against Pakistan in April 2015, Rahman was the first player to win both Test and ODI debuts.

He appeared in his first One Day International and Test matches against India and South Africa later this year. Rahman participated in the 2014 Under-19 Cricket World Cup before his international career.

In the 2016 Indian Premier League, he also represented Dhaka Dynamites and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Early and personal life

Mustafizur grew up in the tiny town of Satkhira, Bangladesh, where he was born. He is the youngest of Abul Qasem Gazi and Mahmuda Khatun's six children. His father is a huge fan of cricket. Mustafizur's cricket love increased after he began playing the game 40 kilometres (25 mi) away from home every morning, with his brother Mokhlesur Rahman. He often skipped school to play cricket, which affected his education.

Mustafizur began to bowlet, and he learned he was a natural batsman with a tennis ball. He drew inspiration from Pakistani pacer Mohammad Amir, who is his idol, according to him.

He and several members of the Bangladesh test team were seconds away from entering the Al Noor mosque in Christchurch, New Zealand, when a terrorist attack began on March 15, 2019. All members of the team were "deeply affected." Mustafizur married on March 22nd. Mustafizur's brother was hopeful that marriage would help him "overcome the shock" of the attack in New Zealand.
