Molly Ringwald slams 'ridiculous' nepo-baby criticism but admits she urged actress daughter Mathilda Gianopoulos, 20, to take her name because 'it might open some doors'

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 8, 2024
Molly Ringwald lauded her 'emotional and headstrong daughter' for choosing to forge her own path as an actress, while criticizing so-called nepo-babies. Ringwald, a mother of three with husband Panio Gianopoulos, was born outside of the performing arts by her mother Adele, a chef, and father Robert, a visually impaired jazz pianist. But she made a name for herself in a string of enduringly popular come-of-age films, including Pretty In Pink, The Breakfast Club, and Sixteen Candles.
