Mo Collins Life

Mauriel Ann Collins (born July 7, 1965) is an American actress and comedian best known professionally as Mo Collins.

She is perhaps best known for her appearance on FOX's sketch comedy film Mad TV, where she is most well-known.

During her time on the show, Collins became well-known for several characters. She appeared in fourteen episodes during season 9 from 1998 to 2004 due to scheduling conflicts.

She returned to Mad TV in the tenth season for one episode, as well as on the 300th episode starring her well-known character Lorraine Swanson.

Following her departure from Mad TV, Joan Callamezzo as the morning talk show host of the sitcom Parks and Recreation was her best known role.

Personal life

Collins was asked to leave in protest against an act of graffiti that she and her fellow art program students had committed while studying at St. Catherine University for the visual arts.

Collins is recovering from a rare form of cancer called gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST). In spring 2011, she noticed an odd lump in her abdomen. "I would not have done nothing about it," Collins said. I was 44, feeling great, and all was going well for me, but Alex, my fiancé, said, "You need to get it checked out." Collins discovered she had a primary tumor in her duodenum and was able to find a doctor who knew enough about GIST to know that she needed to see a specialist.

Kathy Griffin is back in the hospital for vocal cord surgery to reclaim her voice

www.dailymail.co.uk, December 6, 2022
On Tuesday, after announcing that she was cancer-free on September 20, two-time Emmy winner Kathy Griffin revealed that she would return to the hospital for a 20-minute surgical procedure on her vocal cords. 'Good morning,' Yes, I'm feeling sorry for myself and I'll tell you why,' the 62-year-old lung cancer survivor, who has 3.9 million social media followers, says. 'Because I'm on my way to the hospital again, I'm afraid I'll have to go into general for yet another procedure on my vocal cords.' So, the good news is that I will go home today. However, the first time I did this, it was painful for like seven days. However, I'm just being a baby.
