Personal life
Miyu Honda is the fourth child in her family's household. When she was three years old, she started to play ice hockey and then took up figure skating when she was four years old. Taichi, her eldest brother who is also a figure skater, sparked her concern. Marin, her older sister, is the 2016 World Junior Champion. Miyu won first place in the 3rd grader competition organized by Kansai University in 2011.
Career
Miyu Honda made her debut in the entertainment industry in 2010 when she appeared in an advertisement for Pizza Hut. She has appeared in several Japanese television dramas including Wataru Seken wa Oni Bakari (2011, TBS), Ikemen desu ne (2011, TBS) and Marumo no Okite (2011, CX). In her debut film role, she was also included in Gantz: The Perfect Answer in 2011.
Miyu Honda, on the other hand, came to fame after appearing in the 2011 Nippon Television drama, Kaseifu no Mita. In this famous drama, Kii Asuda rated 25.2%, the highest for any television drama in 2011. She has been compared to Mana Ashida, another child actress who appeared in Marumo no Okite, for her role in this drama.
