Mitchell Scott Hewer (born 1 July 1989) is an English actor, best known for the role of Maxxie Oliver in the E4 teen drama Skins.

He has also starred in Britannia High as the all-round talent Danny Miller.

Personal life

Born in Bristol, Hewer trained at South West Academy of Dramatic Arts. He appeared in the music video "The Club" by Lisa Morgan. He has a sister named Samantha and he has a daughter named Arya Isabella.

Career

In the teen drama, Skins, Hewer was cast as Maxxie Oliver in 2007. He appeared on the front of the Attitude magazine in March and October 2007 as part of a "Gays on TV" series that featured actors from Skins, Hollyoaks, Coronation Street, and Shameless. In June 2008, he debuted nude in the Cosmopolitan issue promoting testicular cancer research.

In the role of Danny Miller, Hewer appeared in the music drama Britannia High. He appears on the Britannia High soundtrack as well. He appeared on the popular ITV and ITV2 shows Xtra Factor, Richard and Judy's New Position, Richard and Judy's New Position, and BBC comedy program Never Mind the Buzzcocks alongside team captain Davina McCall and singer Alesha Dixon.

Hewer appeared in the musical Never Forget, based on the songs of boy band Take That in December 2009. He appeared alongside Michelle Collins in stripper Dirty Harry. Fairfield Halls in Croydon, London, hosted the performance.

Ben appeared in Nightlight and as Steven Steven Stevens in Behaving Badly, Ric Browde's film adaptation of "While I'm Dead Feed the Dog" in 2014.

Mickey Ellisson appeared on Casualty as Hewer in 2017.
