Career
Dam-Mikkelsen spent time as an editorial model in California before heading to New York in 2011, following fashion photographer Mike Ruiz's guidance. They began to work as a makeup artist, while still performing in drag as "Miss Fame."
Miss Fame was discovered by photographer Mary McCartney, who depicted her in her book Devoted. She has also appeared in Half-Drag, a Leland Bobbé photo series that attracted international attention and was included in Vogue Italia. Miss Fame was also photographed for Gorgeous, a project by photographers Rob Lebow and Masha Kutchick that involved Armen Ra, Candis Cayne, and Tammie Brown. Dam-Mikkelsen is a celebrity makeup artist based in New York City and has worked with actors and celebrities, including Eve Salvail, Snooki and JWoww, Martha Wash, Wendy Williams, and Michael Urie.
Miss Fame became the first queen to be a contestant on the program on December 7, 2014, during RuPaul's "Ru-Veal" of the seventh season of the RuPaul's Drag Race. In the ninth episode of "Divine Inspiration," she was disqualified for her seventh time overall. Following her relegation, she debuted "Rubber Doll," her debut album, Beauty Marked's first single. The album was released on June 9, 2015, with highlights from fellow Drag Race contestants Alaska Thunderfuck and Violet Chachki.
