Career
Kerr competed and won the 1997 Dolly magazine/Impulse model competition at age 13. A week before her 14th birthday to shoot for the magazine, she was flown to Sydney. Local media expressed "concerned outrage" at Kerr's win at a young age. The scandal sparked questions about the glorification of young girls within the fashion, beauty, and entertainment industries.
