Mick Avory Life

Michael Charles Avory (born 15 February 1944) is an English musician best known as the long-serving drummer and percussionist for the English rock band the Kinks.

He joined them shortly after their formation in 1964 and stayed with them until 1984, when he left because of creative differences with guitarist Dave Davies.

Except for the Davies brothers, he is the longest-serving member of the band.

Personal life

Avory lives in Kew, west London. Avory has a daughter, but he has said she is not "terribly musical." Marliesa Mladek was married in January 2018 by Avory.
