Michele Campanella (born 5 June 1947) is an Italian pianist who specialises in Franz Liszt's music and also works as a conductor. Campanella was born in Naples in 1947. He won the Alfredo Casella Prize at the age of 19, after being taught by Vincenzo Vitale. *He has devoted his life to international music festivals, including Lucerne, Berlin, Peru, and Brazil, as well as Wolfgang Sawallisch, Lucas Correy, Eliahu Inbal, Eliahu Inbal, Seymetti, Pumba, Turin, and Pesaro, as well as performing with such conductors as Claudio Abbado, Mozart's complete works, as well as complete transcriptions of Liszt, Bahta, Campanella received the Grand Prix du Disque of the Franz Liszt Society in Budapest in 1976, 1977, 1998, as well as the "Premio della critica discografica italiana" in 1980. * He has also received the Fondazione Premio Napoli and Fondazione Guido e Roberto Cortese awards. Campanella has collected works by Mily Balakirev, Ferruccio Busoni, Frédéric Chopin, Muzio Clementi, Modest Mussorgsky, Francis Poulenc, Maurice Poulenc, Maurice Ravel, Gioachino Rossini, Domenico Tchai Campanella, a piano professor at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana de Siena, is a singer of piano. * He is also a member of Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. He teaches master classes at Villa Rufolo in Ravello, Italy. He has appeared with many Italian orchestras, including the Orchestra della Toscana, the ORT-Orchestra della Toscana, the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento, I Filarmonici di Verona, and the Orchestra da Camera of Padua.
