Michael Parr (born 6 August 1986) is a British actor best known for his appearance in the ITV soap opera Emmerdale as Ross Barton.

Life and early career
Parr was born in Saint Helens, Merseyside. His mother is American and holds dual citizenship in the United States and the United Kingdom, allowing him to work in the United States without the need for a Green Card if he so desired. He attended the Elizabeth Hill School of Dance and Drama in Saint Helens and the East 15 Acting School in Essex, graduating in 2008. Parr spent time in Emmerdale as a Learning Support Assistant in a Special Educational Needs kindergarten prior to being admitted to the school. He had previously worked as a barman.
Good Cop, Inside Men, and Hollyoaks are among their previous television appearances. In the 2014 film Territory, Queesnbury Rules, No Way Through, and Keiren appear on film. Parr has been involved in a number of high-profile newslines over his time in Emmerdale, including an affair with his brother's fiancée, Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb); and secretly parenting a child with Debbie's mother, Charity Macey (Emma Atkins). Ross Barton was the victim of an acid attack in 2018, leaving the scene traumatic. Parr has described the plot as frustrating.
