Mixed martial arts career

Fujii debuted in mixed martial arts on August 5, 2004, defeating Yumi Matsumoto by submission in just 40 seconds. In what would be Montoya's last match, she advanced to defeat former UFC commentator Erica Montoya at HOOKNSHOOT: "Evolution."

Ana Michelle Tavares, Misaki Takimoto, Keiko "Tama Chan" Tamai and Masako Yoshida established Fujii as one of the top female fighters in the country, and she became a staple of Shooto and Smackgirl tournaments.

Serin Murray, an Australian fighter, met Australian fighter Serin Murray on November 29, 2006. Murray predicted that she analyzed Fujii tactics and that she would defeat Fujii by KO. Despite this, the Australian warrior left her forward leg exposed, provoking Fujii for an attack. Fujii went for Murray's legs and gained by submission.

On March 10, 2007, she met Cody Welchin at NFF – the Breakout. In the first round, she won by armbar submission.

Fujii defeated highly awaited American Lisa Ellis by first-round entry at a BodogFight event in Vancouver, British Columbia, on August 24, 2007.

Fujii defeated Cindy Hales and Seo Hee Ham of Korea to advance to the finals of the 2008 Smackgirl World ReMix Grand Prix, but the campaign was halted due to financial difficulties long before the final round.

The newly rebranded Smackgirl, now known as Jewels, celebrated Fujii at its debut "First Ring" function in November 2008. In the first round, Fujii defeated Tomoko Morii by submission.

Fujii returned to Jewels after defeating rising Japanese competitor Saori Ishioka in the second round after submitting Won Bun Chu in less than a minute at Shooto: "Tradition Final" in May 2009.

On November 23, 2009, she defeated veteran striker "Windy" Tomomi Sunaba by a first-round armbar at Shooto: "Revolutionary Exchanges 3."

Fujii will face Bellator 22 on June 10, 2010, the company announced on May 6, 2010. Bellator's numbering of their events soon changed, and Bellator's June 10 card was renamed Bellator 21. In the third round, Fujii faced Sarah Schneider and defeated Schneider by TKO. It was Fujii's first victory by TKO in her 20-fight career.

In Season Three, Fujii competed in the Bellator 115-pound women's tournament, which began on August 12, 2010. Magana had been supposed to face Angela Magada in the first round of the tournament at Bellator 24, but she had to cancel from the tournament on August 8, 2010 after suffering a foot injury.

Instead, Fujii wrestler Carla Esparza was faced twice a lifetime All-American wrestler. In the second round, she defeated Esparza by armbar submission.

In the second round of the Bellator tournament at Bellator 31, Fujii faced Lisa Ellis once more in the rematch by armbar submission in the first round.

Fujii became the second mixed martial artist, male or female, to begin a career with 22 consecutive victories. On October 28, 2010, she met Zoila Gurgel in the finals of the tournament at Bellator 34. Fujii lost the contest due to a contentious split decision.

In December 30, 2010, Fujii defeated Fujino by unanimous vote after being defeated by Emi Fujino at World Victory Road Presents: Soul of Fight.

On July 9, 2011, Fujii defeated Mika Nagano in the Jewels 15th Ring. She defeated Nagano by a unanimous vote.

At DREAM: Fight For Japan: Genki Desu Ka Omisoka 2011 On December 31, 2011. In the first round, she defeated Benitez by forfeiture due to an armbar.

Fujii returned to Bellator to face Jessica Aguilar at Bellator 69 on May 18, 2012. She was defeated by a majority decision.

On New Year's Eve 2012, Fujii was reported to be competing at DREAM 18. However, she met Mei Yamachi at Vale Tudo Japan 2012 on December 24 instead. Fujii defeated Yamachi by unanimous decision.

Fujii announced on June 22, 2013 that she would drop MMA after being in a final match. In a rematch at Vale Tudo Japan 3rd on October 5 in Tokyo, she defeated Jessica Aguilar in a rematch. Fujii was initially defeated by TKO before the doctor called off the match after round two due to an eye injury caused by two accidental eye pokes. The result of the contest was later shortened to a technical majority decision victory for Aguilar.
