Megan Boone (born April 29, 1983) is an American actress.

Elizabeth Keen, NBC drama actress and profiler, is best known for her role as both an FBI agent and profiler on the NBC drama series The Blacklist.

She appears on Law & Order: LA as a regular participant and has appeared in films including My Bloody Valentine 3D (2009) and Step Up Revolution (2012).

Early life and education

Boone was born in Petoskey, Michigan, and raised in The Villages, Florida. When she was a child, her parents moved there to be closer to her grandparents. H. Gary Morse, her grandfather, was the developer of The Villages; Jennifer Parr, her mother, is the Director of Sales. When her grandparents took her to New York to see Nathan Lane's Broadway debut at age seven, she was "hooked" on acting.

Megan Boone's ancestry is mainly German and German, with some small amounts of Dutch and Scottish.

Boone began attending Belleview High School, where she graduated in 2001. She graduated from the School of Theatre at Florida State University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Acting. Boone performed with Jane Alexander and Edwin Sherin at the Asolo Repertory Theatre and trained with playwright Mark Medoff. Although she considered quitting early in her career, Boone credits Alexander with influencing her to keep acting. Boone started studying for an MBA in Sustainability from Bard College in New York in late 2017.

Personal life

Boone's rep confirmed that she and artist Dan Estabrook were expecting their first child together in November 2015. On Live! in January 2016, he made his first appearance on Live! Boone, Kelly and Michael, reported that Estabrook and Margaret were engaged and expecting a child. Caroline Boone was born in Boone's year that year.

Boone appeared in the Charles L. Mee's debut in 2007 Los Angeles and received two LA Weekly Theater Awards for her role. In 2009, Boone made her debut in the horror film My Bloody Valentine 3D, followed by a supporting role in Sex and the City 2 in 2010. She portrayed Junior Deputy District Attorney Lauren Stanton in the short-lived NBC series Law & Order: Los Angeles during 2010 and 2010. Boone made her directorial debut with the independent film Eggshells for Soil, portions of which were shot in her hometown, The Villages, Florida. She has appeared in Step Up Revolution (2012), the fourth film in the Step Up series.

Boone would appear in the independent drama Leave Me Like You Found Me (2012), for which she received the Gen Art Film Festival Award for Best Actress. She appeared in the CBS police drama series Blue Bloods in 2013, as well as her lead role in the NBC series The Blacklist the same year. The Blacklist attained both critical and public success, as well as high DVR ratings. Boone would leave The Blacklist after eight seasons, according to a tweeter on June 15, 2021. More recently, she and her Weird Sister production firm signed a first glance contract with Sony Pictures Television.
